Why a snake would be a bad pet?
Some species of snake grow VERY big. (Burmese Pythons grow to 18 feet or 5.5metres AND are very heavy when adult size !) Some need high humidity. (difficult to maintain) Some need 'specialist' food items (like large rabbits etc) Certain species are known to be aggressive.
Taking on a reptile can be GREAT fun - but - can also be hard work.

Where burmese pythons came from?

Corn snakes are constrictors. They first attack by biting their prey. Although they are nonvenomous this helps hold the prey in place while the wrap around it with tight coils, squeezing it until it can no longer breathe.
What temperature do you need to incubate snake eggs?

Female Corn Snakes will lay between 10 and 20 eggs, which will need to be incubated for between 55 and 65 days (7 to 9 weeks). Try to keep the eggs at a constant temperature of 26-29°C (79-85°F). Vermiculite is a good substrate to have inside the incubator as it will help keep the humidity levels correct.
If incubation is successful the hatchlings should break out of their eggs using an egg tooth. They will remain in the eggs to soak up the york for a few days before venturing out of the shell. You should watch them closely at this stage, but not force them to leave the egg before they are ready.
Once they are out of the egg, the hatchlings will all need to be housed separately. Small sandwich box type RUBS (Really Useful Boxes) are good for housing your hatchlings at this stage.
Hatchlings will require their first feed after their first shed, which should occur around a week after they hatch. If the hatchling is reluctant to eat it's first pinky, try braining the pinky to encourage them to take it. If you are planning to sell on your hatchlings, it is important to ensure that the hatchlings are readily accepting food and are healthy before selling them.
Are corn snakes good for kids to handle?
NO - absolutely not ! They require completely different temperature ranges (corns around 18-22 C - Children's python 28-30 C) ! Beside which - the two species would never co-habit naturally - since they're from completely different countries !

well, i live in lexington,Oklahoma which might be different climate where your at but here is where i find grass snakes under barrels, in grass [note have to look carfully] on a rocky road, bushes ,under logs, and sometimes on your front porch! i hope this was helpful to you [i have found 7 grass snakes with using thes place] oh! you find them in logs. peace
If you mean the thin shed skin - nothing because it's too fragile. If you mean the whole skin - it's used as a leather substitute - to make things like belts, purses, wallets etc.
Actually they can! They are able to because they are land and water animals. Though humans arent used to catching fish so easy the pythons can do it in a flash!!!! The use their tounges to wrap the fish. Then they suck the fish into their mothes, and swallow it. Although like humans and steak, it may take a number of daysbefore the fish digests in the snake

A snake will not it's most important sensory organ (the tongue), by wrapping it around a squirming, spiky fish. Their teeth are recurved (curving backwards), which are effective at piercing through flesh, feathers and fur to prevent the escape of prey, and are equally effective with fish.
EDIT: I wouldn't recommend feeding fish to a Ball Python as they are not suited for such food in the wild. Just stick to mice.
Ball pythons do not eat fish in the wild. In the wild, they are strictly terrestrial or arboreal, and their diet consists of small mammals, birds, and reptiles. Although they can eat fish, it is not their natural diet and is not advised. Not to mention that feeding fish to any snake also requires you to look for thiaminase-free fish, as an overdose on thiaminase can block their production of thiamin and kill them.
Is a 10 gallon aquarium big enough for a corn snake?
10 gallons means nothing - since this is an internationalsite, you would have been better listing the dimensions of the tank. Apart from that - an all-glass tank will waste energy - since 90 percent of the heat will escape straight through the glass !
The size of the vivarium should (on its longest side) be a minimum of half the adult snakes length ! Therefore - to allow the snake to move freely within the tank - it should be an absolute minimum of 36 inches long, 18 inches deep and 18 inches high !
Is it safe to handle your pet corn snake while your pregnant?
I looked up the corn snake and it is said that they are not a mean nor poisonous so if that is what you want to do I don't see the issue. It is said that they are sometimes confused with the copper head snake which is very poisonus so I hope you aren't picking up the wrong one...Why the heck are you messing with them anyway? Are pythons safe to keep as a pet?
Pythons are safe to keep as a pet. You just need to be more cautious then with other snakes when your python gets to be five feet or longer. I have a ball Python and they are safe because they do not get to big but there are bigger kinds.
