Usually, a cat meowing is a way for that to tell you that something isn't right. It could be as simple as the cat needs to be cuddled, it could be hunger, or it could just as easily be pain. If it's something simple like food, feed it. Please bear in mind that some cats are just naturally vocal, and will often "talk" as a way of communicating with its owner.

If the cat seems to be meowing for no reason, you might either consider conducting a thorough topical exam of the cat, or head for the vet and see if there's a problem.

If this is new behavior, definitely consider a vet.

For most fruits, it depends if your cat has a weak stomach, if so don't feed it acidic foods like pineapple, oranges, and lemons. if it has a strong stomach feel free. But then again if anything strange starts happening I'd stop.

Grapes and raisins are very bad for cats and dogs. These fruits can send them into renal failure (even small amounts depending on the size of your pet) often resulting in death. The Humane Society of the United States, as well as vets will tell you never to feed your pets grapes or raisins. My vet also suggested avoiding raspberries, although she could not remember the reason why....I opted not to risk it. My cat loves fruit & fruit juices and needed to get more liquids in his diet to help with urinary problems. My vet suggested even making smoothies for him, giving him small amounts throughout the day. Apples (NO seeds), plums, pears, and melon (especially cantaloup) are his favorites.

Firstly, a cat's paw and claws are extremely sensitive, so whatever you choose to do should be gentle to avoid scaring or harming the cat. The best solution for a cat's hangnail is to gently remove partially detached nails with clippers and clean the area daily. You may want to bandage the toe to help prevent infection. If infection sets in, see a vet immediately.

Female cats exhibit odd behavior when they go into heat. They rub against things, twitch their tails and at times tremble. They may also eat more, become restless and emit a high-pitched "cat call."

A cat in labor will be lying down, preferably in a safe place, heaving, panting, and sometimes purring. They purr sometimes to relieve their stress. It's not that hard to recognize. Btw, since that person mentioned bleeding, if the cat is bleeding a little it is not bad, usually cats don't lose a lot, but if they keep bleeding or blood tinged fluids and straining, take them to the vet. Well, it depends.

If your cat is catching mice (not eating them) it is unlikey there will be any risks. Apart from if the mouse if carrying fleas or something which are carrying a disease which can jump onto your cat and thus infect them. Although, this is not likely.

If your cat EATS the mouse, there is more of a risk, but not anything to worry about. (It is normal for cats to EAT their prey). The above applies, although if the mouse carries internal diseases and the cat eats it, the cat MAY catch them, but unlikey again.

All round, I'd say theres just a 2% health risk! VERY LOW!!!

Haha, your kitten won't poop? Well, you should put its litterbox near its food, or an object it really likes. You could also spray it with a catnip spray to make it more appealing. Just do anything so your kitten is attracted to it, and it will soon learn that a litterbox is a good place to deposit.

This depends on the Queen. Some cats will be back on heat immediately after and others will not come back on call for weeks afterwards. This is why it is ideal to spay the mother cat as soon as the kittens are weaned, or kept indoors and away from any male cats to prevent her getting pregnant immediately afterwards. It is cruel and detrimental to the female's health if she is allowed to carry another litter straight after the last one; she would have no chance of resting and recovering from the last litter. A queen will need "time off" to get her weight and strength back up.

Really? Is it really necessary to try to stop your cat from bathing itself? It's a natural part of a cats life. Cats are very clean animals, and they know when they need a bath. So don't stop them, it's fine.

The cat has worms - most likely roundworms which is the most common. It may be best to take the cat to the vet to get it checked over and to purchase some worming treatment. Your vet can advise which treatment is best and how often to treat your cat.

Dry food can be fed at all ages, although feeding dry food is not a necessity.

Dry food is more a convenience food for us, as it is easy to put in a bowl and leave for several hours. However, dry food is certainly not a requirement for a cat's diet. A lot of dry foods contain a high amount of grains and cereals and rather low levels of actual meat in them. The cereals do not give any nutrition to the cat at all; cats have evolved to get their nutrients from meat-based protein, not plant-based protein. Many manufactures will use plants instead of meat because it is much cheaper to produce, but not necessarily good for your pet.

Some ingredients, such as Yellow Corn, Wheat Gluten and Soy products have been known to cause food allergies in cats. These three are very common in lower quality pet foods.

Having said that, some brands such as Orijen and Felidae produce dry food that is completely free of grains and includes high quality meat.

Another problem with dry food is that it contains no moisture, so is quite dehydrating. In the wild a cat's prey is around 70% water, and this requirement is no different for our household pets. Canned or pouched food has anywhere between 60 to 80% water which easily provides a cat with more than enough water each day.

You need one good relationship with them. Usually you can leave them and they will come down the way they went up. You can just go on your roof and call them over. It takes a lot of patience and you need to be just as calm as they are. When they come to you comfortably, pick them up and slowly remove them down the ladder, just be prepared for a few claw stabs. My sister has 4 female cats - 2 prefer the litter box which is next to the toilet and the other 2 prefer the toilet. She didn't do anything other than leave the seat up all the time as was her habit, and was pretty surprised when she figured out what was going on (she's the only human in the house, and was pretty sure she was flushing consistently) :-D.

Also, my cousin's cat started using the toilet when the basement door leading to her litter box was accidentally left closed for a prolonged period of time.

So, I don't know how to train them to use the toilet, but I think it's possible. Don't know if it's significant that these are all females, and surprisingly, all 3 of the cats with toilet preferences were over age 9 when they started!

cats can't be "toilet trained" but they can be litter trained.

I actually had a roommate in college who was able to potty train her cat. She bought a kit at a pet store that simulated a litter box over the hole in the toilet and after a few weeks of that the cat was able to do it's business in the toilet. It was a bit messy because this kit had you put actual litter in the small clear plastic pan that sat over the toilet bowl and the cat would scratch that out onto the floor the first few times. Then you were supposed to take the litter out of the pan and the cat would see through to the water and get comfortable with seeing the water in the bowl. Finally, after a few days of that the pan is removed altogether.

Pregnant cats typically give birth between 63 to 67 days after mating. However, this can vary slightly depending on the individual cat and other factors such as stress and health. Be prepared for the possibility of labor starting earlier or later than expected.

Cats will urinate in strange places if something is bothering them. They could be having an unseen health problem, they may be upset about a new animal or person in the house, they may be upset about a move or a change that took place in the house. Or the litter box may be not clean enough for them, or even they don't like the kind of cat litter being used.
