When did the Saints cheer Who Dat start?

Sometime possibly in the late 60's early 70's when the team first emerged, but it should be noted that the term "Who Dat?" is common slang in the south, especially in New Orleans, so the cheer version of it was most likely not new or exclusive to the Saints. Though there are some who claim the phrase in other states and say that New Orleans stole it from them, it's more believable that it started with Louisiana and the rest of the south since it is apart of everyday speech.

How do you get really flexible starting from when you cant touch your toes?

To touch your toes all you have to do really is to put your back up against a wall and just fall forward and just stay there for about a minute then rest and do it again and to really learn how to do the splits it is way easier if you put a few thick books on top of each other on the ground and put your heel on them and try to do the over splits but its okay if you don't go all the way down and stay there till you feel stretched and when you do try the regular splits and you will notice the difference. It will take a few times until you will be able to go all the way down but i think it is worth it. (Don't over stretch or you could really hurt yourself)

10 reasons why you do warm-up before you go to play?

Answer:

  1. Warming up helps break down the chemical complex of oxygen. So what? Well, this enables it to separate from the blood and increases oxygen delivery to the muscle, crucial during a workout.
  2. Warming up reduces the potential for muscle and connective injuries and increases body temperature.
  3. It increases blood flow to exercising muscles and guess what? The more blood that reaches the muscles, the easier the delivery of nutrients required for energy production.
  4. Increases blood flow to the heart. This one is key, since more blood to the heart means a reduced risk for exercise-induced cardiac problems.
  5. Decreases muscle viscosity (aka resistance). Warming up makes muscles suppler.
  6. Helps promote sweating and sweating is great! It reduces the amount of heat stored in the body, something your body spends a lot of energy doing.
7.Enhances the speed of transmission of nerve impulses. What? Makes your motor skills better! You know how your body feels really slow in the morning when you've just gotten out of bed? You're not warmed up.

8. Helps more blood reach muscles and connective tissue. The more blood reaching the muscles, tendons and ligaments, the more elastic the tissues. This means better performance and a reduced chance of injuries.

9.Lets the cardiovascular system know what's coming. When you workout, you demand more blood and oxygen. Warming up helps the heart and blood vessels adjust to this idea.

10.Lets muscles know what's coming. Warming up may actually make you less sore the next day.

How do you do a full?

when you're in a double base, an easy quick way to learn is to have your hands in a high V and use the pocket to pocket technique. bring your left fist behind you and your right fist towards your left pocket. wait for the pop before attempting the twist. keep straight and don't bend your knees. lean a little far back on the ride down, but don't lean too much, or else you'll land on your head. make sure to pull with both shoulders, arms and hips or else your full won't be straight and your bases will be mad at you.

How many cheers should you do at tryouts?

At practice, cheerleaders sometimes use bags of potatoes as test dummys for stunting.

Every day we sit in a circle and cry for twenty minutes. If you can't cry the whole time you get kicked off the squad.

You must like mooses.

You have to somehow be related to your flyer.

If you can't do the splits you can't be on the team.

That's all :)

Cheerleading stretches for a herky?

Here are some great stretches to improve flexibility on your legs. Remember to do the same amount of stretching on both legs, or you will end up with one leg that is more flexible than the other.

Sit in a straddle on the floor. Put your left arm on the floor in front of you, right arm over your head and lean to the left. Hold for at least 30 seconds then switch sides.

Then reach as far down the middle as you can, holding for at least 30 seconds.

Next turn to your left leg and with both hands grab your ankle and pull your chest down to the floor. After at least 30 seconds, switch sides. Once finished with both legs, reach down the middle once more, trying to reach further than you did the first time.

Another great stretch to do is the splits. You can do many variations on this, such as wall splits (great for flyers too). If you can do your splits all the way to the ground and you don't feel stretching, try your splits on inclines.

To improve the height of your jump, do kicks. Do at least 10 with each leg in each of the following positions: straight in front of you, straight out to the side, at a 45 degree angle to your body, and straight behind you.

If you have access to a trampoline, doing your jumps on there is another great way to improve your height.

Remember to make sure your muscles are fully warmed up before you stretch them, or you could incur painful injuries.
