very simple. It's under the dash, right above the brake pedal. Unplug the old one and give it a half twist. that should remove it from its place. Put the new one in sideways and give it a half twist to lock it in place, then plug it in.
you might have to put something on the brake pedal to get it out of your way while you are doing this. it should take less than 2 minutes. GM part# 96874572 local Chevy dealer, paid $10 bucks.

As an Aveo owner myself, I will give you a dollar's worth of free advice. STAY AWAY FROM AVEOS. The are terrible little cars. They are unreliable and expensive to fix.
I am an Aveo owner myself, and I have to disagree with this previous persons statement. I will honestly say, that for the first year and a half of ownership, I was at the dealership at least once every single month. This was very hard considering the fact that I was working 7 days a week and going to college full time. But, I can honestly say that if you can survive those first year and a half of ownership, they really are great cars. I have taken my car from California to Texas and back and did not have one issue. My car currently has over 150,000 miles on it, and all I have done is the regular maintenance. Oil Change, Air Filter, Wires, Plugs, Timing Belt, Cabin Air Filter, etc. As long as you take care of it, and understand that it is not a race car and can only go so fast, it is a good car. It doesn't have the looks, but this Daewoo (Chevy) has got it where it counts.
Another Aveo owner's opinion: My wife and I bought the 2007 Aveo 5 hatchback new off the lot. Since then, we've had fewer problems than with many of the cars we've had in the past. I'd say we probably drive the car a little faster than it's supposed to go, but we've done the suggested maintenance for the 80,000+ miles, and haven't really had any out of the ordinary problems. Overall, I find the car enjoyable to drive, and I would call it reliable.

The block heater cord should be between your battery and fender. The cord is wraped in a plastic conduit and hang out under the hood when used.
on the top two camshafts you gonna have to look for a paint mark on the wheel where the theeth are. its a litlle tinny dot of paint. then look at the other one and find the mark. clean the camshafts first with some wd 40 or some gas but be careful not to clean the marks off. when you find the dots rotate each camshaft until the left one's mark is at 3 pm ( looking at a clock) and the right camshaft's mark is at 9 Pm (both of the marks will be next to each other) MARK--- ----Marknow the bottom crankshaft. rotate it until the timing mark that's on it (or notch) is alligned with the nimber 0 that's on the timing cover Good luck

You jump start a Chevy Lumina just as you do any other car. First, you park the running car in such a way that the jumper cables will easily reach between the two batteries and turn the car off. Then, you attach the red cable to the + side of the running car's battery and then the other red cable to the dead battery's + side. Return to the car with the good battery and connect the black cable to the - side of the battery, then attach the black cable of the other side of the cable to a non-painted metal surface of the car with the dead battery. After the cables are attached as described, start the car with the good battery and let it run for a few minutes before starting the car with the dead battery. Once the car is started, you can disconnect the cables being careful not to let any of the red cable ends touch either one of the cars while they are running.
