Under the Main Radiator Hose!

The opening lever is underneath the lip that the badge appears on, towards the right hand side, above the key hole. Turn the key anti-clockwise whilst pulling the lever towards you.

The blower motor is under the heat box on the passenger side of the interior. To replace it you disconnect the connector to the electric motor then take out 5 screws around the perimeter of the bottom of the blower.

When you puch the back seats forward to their most folded up position, there are two linch pins with c shaped pins. get some needle nosed pliers and pull the c pin off, get a hammer and a Phillips head screw driver and push the linch pins out, save for later. take out the seat. We have done this to our aveo 2004 every year for six years to go camping. the seat is actually held in place during normal operation by the back of the seat near your bum and over you shoulder by two clips.

The IAC (Idle air control) valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Its about $200 parts and labor.

The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to AutoZone or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area.

Mine was made in Korea, but i don't know if that's where they all where made.

It has a timing belt. Make sure that you replace it ever 60,000 miles. If it snaps on you, that is bad news!

Battery is at full strength, you turn the key, and the engine won't turn over.

if you are looking for anything to do with the lights on the back of the car go to a carparts store and tell them what you need. they maybe able to help put something together. I had to replace my turn signal light bulb in the back of the car. you cannot get them in the orange bulb. they only sell them clear. I sales person spay painted one for me orange so I could use it. It is not hard to replace the lights on in the back of the car in the hatch or the trunk. Have fun. I have minor problems with mine but had to pay bigg bucks for the parts. good luck.

17 gallons is about average for a mid-sized car.

When you open your hood, on your far passenger side of the engine compartment you will see a squarish black box. There are 3 screws holding the top of the box down. One in the back, right side, and front. Use a Phillips screwdrive and unscrew them. Once the screws are loose, pull the box up and you will see the air filter. Pull the air filter out, put the new one in, and follow the steps above in reverse order.

from underneath vehicle . first disconnect battery using 10mm wrench.remove 2 bolts on bracket at top using12mm and 15mm on bottom . carefully move bracket so you can use 3/8 ratchet with deep 1/2 inch or 13mm socket and extension a bit longer than starter.

make sure battery is disconnected at this point. using 12mm wrench remove nut holding larger red cable on starter. using a 5/16 wrench or equal size remove smaller wire on starter solenoid.

at this time using 12mm wrench remove nut securing ground wires on lower stud holding starter.It would probably be better to remove stud that you cant see first, but first loosen lower stud a couple of turns before removing top stud.

using 1/2 inch or 13mm deep socket connected to extension carefully move bracket so you can fit socket and extension behind starter. you can have assistant look down from top of engine compartment to guide you fit socket over nut. once upper nut has been removed ,you can now remove lower stud.

carefully remove starter.

when purchasing a starter, have parts store bench test it before replacing!

Make sure all electrical connections are clean and secure on wiring.

reverse procedure for installing

50/50 should be fine in almost any condition. Hotter climates may find it better to run 40% coolant and 60% distilled water as the water will take more heat away from your engine. Just keep it between 40% and 60% coolant and you will be ok.

.On one hand ,Cars seems to be a big source of stressing people as it increases the crowd of the city and that no one can bare that noise and crowd .For instance there is no way to park your in those rush-hours. In addition, cars seem to be a harmful machine as it decreases people opportunities of walking or taking a bike which decreases people fitness. Such as, people can even avoid walking to school, thought it may be fifty meters s away From their house and that they might prefer using their car in the rush-hours.

.All in all thoughts, I personally believe that, although cars might be cheaper than any other vehicle, their disadvantage seems to be stronger which can't be neglected.

Whoever wrote that last answer needs to learn how to type. I asked my dealer what the warranty was and they told me that they can't say. I know when I went in I needed a new 3rd cylinder and that was covered. The dealer told me that they don't know what is covered until they submit the parts order and it will come back as covered or not covered.

you have to go to the dealer and they will have a code or if it's under warranty you can get awhole new one. I went ahead and put in an aftermarket player from wal-mart that plays CD's usb stick and camera sd cards as well as iPod input for 75 bux. Also the CD player you get from aveo will just get hot and melt your electrical system which was under warranty at the time but the problems continue to surface 6 years later.
