Bubble and Squeak is a very old, traditional Irish meal. My "Irish Family Food" cookbook, by Ruth Isabel Ross (published by Gill & Macmillan, Ltd., Goldenbridge, Dublin 8) has this recipe listed under Ways with Potatoes. "This was surely invented as a way of using up left-over cabbage. It is called bubble-and-squeak because the vegetables are boiled first or bubbled. They then squeak after they are fried. If care is taken and the mixture is cooked to a golden-brown crispness, it is attractive to young appetites."

Here is the recipe: Serves 2 450 g/1lb potatoes, peeled; 175 g/6 oz cooked cabbage, chopped; salt and pepper; butter or margarine for frying. This tastes better if the potatoes are freshly cooked. Steam or boil, dry off and then mash the potatoes. Add the chopped cabbage and seasoning. Do not add milk, as it will leak into the frying pan. Press the potato and cabbage mixture into one or two 'cakes' for each person. Fry these until there is a crisp brown skin on both sides. Serve at once.

More important than that, often chemistry labs involve chemical fumes which shouldn't be inhaled. Chewing gum opens the mouth and takes in much more chemicals than is necessary.

I too have a brand new pack of Washington Redskins Chewing Gum. I have searched and can not find it anywhere. I just acquired a pack of Baltimore Orioles gum and found that on eBay for about $ 6.00 plus almost $ 6.00 shipping. I would price mine at $ 10.00 in our store. I guess I would price the Redskins at the same or maybe $ 15.00 and let someone talk me down to 10-12. Hope this helps a little. I have searched for about 2 years now. Not many for sale, or not many left.

Well I've only been in the military for 5 years but i think gum is included in our military field rations (MRE's) because after you've finished all of your food it's one last thing to enjoy and continue eating after all of your food is gone.

Yes you are aloud to chew sugar gum. BUT, not when you have braces or any orthodontic hardware in your mouth.

Finish your pack or packs left then just don't buy any more. JUST DON'T : YOU CAN CONTROL YOURSELF. OK. When you do this, and you really feel like you need a piece of gum, get a drink of water...until you do it without even drinking water. It builds self-control and saves money.

If you chew for long enough your jaw could become almost unusable for a while.

But if after your jaw feels better and you keep Chewing Gum your jaw could become stronger and more resilient to the pains of long chewing.

It can work, but only in the presence of determination from you. It helps in relieving cravings somewhat, the driving force must come from you. If you are expecting the gum to do the hard yards for you, you are wasting your time.

well its simple

1. blow a bubble that is small enough to fit back in your mouth

2. then put it back in your mouth ( make sure you still have a bubble)

3. finally just push your tongue to the roof of your mouth and your bubble will crack

for one... why would u want to feed a hamster gum?, yes they can eat it but dont blame me if it dies from it getting tangled in his intestines and things of that sort and they are clever.

you shouldn't because its a sticky mess if it falls out of your mouth and people want to put in under their desk and if they put it under their desk they may put their knee in it and get gum on their jeans or skirt or shorts

When you call Trident, they will tell you that the amount of xylitol in their Trident and Stride gums is proprietary and they will not disclose the amount. According to Epic Dental, it contains 0.17 gm. In any case, I think it is safe to assume that it is significantly less than 1 gm and therefore not high enough to prevent decay. If you want to prevent decay, studies suggest chewing 1-2 grams, 4-6 times every day. I don't believe there are any over-the-counter gums you can buy in stores which have high enough xylitol levels. You can buy xylitol gums over the internet which have 1 gm per stick.
