There are many who would love people to believe the members of Rise Against are influenced by assorted faiths, such as Christianity and Judaism. These are the people that delight in lies and half truths. I worked with the members of Rise Against for six months. They claim two are Christian, one is Jewish, and the other is athiest. However, when they are out of the eyes of the public, they make fun of both faiths and those who follow them. I am a Christian who believes in the Biblical, Historical Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Before I was saved in 2017, I had been a long-time Angels and Airwaves fan. Their music always felt "spiritual" to me, gave me a sense of optimism and peace, and made me think about some of life's "deeper" themes. I used their music as a tool to get through some really bad times in my life, and as a way to escape from everyday heartache and disappointment. Their music was like a drug to me and I would listen to it over and over again, hanging on to every word and looking to "get" something from it. I thought AVA was the real deal. I had no idea how misguided I was and how far off from the truth this band is. While I understand that AVA's message is supposed to be positive and share hope with its listeners, I am very concerned that their music is actually spreading a false doctrine of "New Age" beliefs. New Ageism is NOT Christian. If you are unaware of what New Age beliefs are (as I was), then do yourself a favor and do some research on the subject. If you are a Christian, it is really important for you to understand that New Age beliefs are fundamentally anti-Christian. Christianity and New Ageism can NOT co-exist. I am not writing this to call out the band AVA or to be judgemental towards other people. I am writing because I wish someone had warned me of these things, but it took a long time before I saw it for what it is. New Age doctrine is just another one of Satan's lies, wrapped up in pretty packaging that makes it very alluring and attractive. It wants to give you answers but it is all false hope that will take your time and attention away from Christ. Beware of false doctrines; they are like wolves in sheep's clothing. As a former AVA fan and someone who has done some research on the New Age, I just wanted to let you know that AVA is preaching a false doctrine that aligns with New Age beliefs. AVA is NOT a Christian band. Their music does not sing about Jesus or his Gospel and does not send a Christian message. I was tricked into believing in their music without realizing what a slippery slope into a dangerous spiritual realm it is. I realize it now that I am a Christian and have been born again through Christ. I no longer listen to AVA's music because I see it for what it is. It is empty lyrics full of false hope. Dob't let Satan trick you with these New Age beliefs. Remember how he can masquerade as an angel of light to cover his true identity. I feel badly for all of AVA's listeners, who like me, are being lied to and receiving a false message. I especially feel sorry for AVA's band members, and Tom DeLonge in particular because they truly feel like they're sending a great message and doing something "good" for humanity through their music. Sadly, they are just a tool that Satan is using to send his false message to the masses. Don't be fooled; AVA it's not a Christian band, and they never have been. Please take the time to do the research yourself and find out what this band is really all about. I pray for the salvation of each one of you and that God will open your eyes to the Truth.
