When I went on vacation last month, they let me through security with 2 packs of cigarettes (one opened and the other unopened) and to my surprise, my bic lighter. So yes.

They can test you for cotinine, which is the chemical your body makes when you smoke cigarettes. I can think of three reasons to run the test--you're a minor on probation and one of the conditions is you don't smoke cigarettes; you're being tested as part of a life insurance physical; or you are trying to get a job where being a nonsmoker is a condition of employment. But as far as crossreacting with something like the THC test--where you smoke cigarettes but the test says you really smoke pot? No.

It doesn't. Teens who grow up with parents/siblings/friends who smoke will have a greater chance of at least experimenting with smoking. Cigarette ads never influenced me to try smoking. Antismokers would argue Joe Camel influenced teens to look into smoking. But I disagree with that too. I'm not gonna try Camels just because I saw a cartoon character in Camel ads during the 90s. The high prices might be a bigger influence on teens who wanna stop smoking. Although it's illegal for them to buy cigs under 18 in most states anyway. Cigarette ads are a thing of the past based on 2012.

and no way is it a habit, absolutely, a very powerful addiction, certainly in a

addictive aspect.

the good news is.. IF someone is able stay off it for 72 hours, all the nicotine

and the effects are gone.

the memories left over, the psychological aspect is most likely related to the

active addiction aspects itself, but after 72 hours most of it is a physiological

aspect or adjustments including all those nicotine receptors.

It's a very powerful active addiction, but amazingly the very first day yes/no

conflict is equal.. but in 72 hours, all the nicotine is forever gone, but there's

lots of physiological adjustments that remain.

Sadly though, the vast majority of people can't overcome the yes/no aspect,

so this very powerful addiction continues their entire lifetime.

This conflict continues for a lifetime in it's active state.. just 72 hours and never

again.. with all the ups/down created, it's well worth it to get off the addiction,

then all that remains are physiological adjustments

Yeah, he does, in fact there is proof in some of his interviews and him telling 'i need to smoke atleast 19 cigarettes' and in his music video 'perfect weapon' in the begining... i know its sad, such a young guy and he smokes at 19/20 years, even though that's common, it could ruin his voice or something, cough during concerts or give lung infections, just don't try to focus on his cons look at his good side, he down to earth, funny, smart and intelligent and fun to be around.
