Totally wrong, Debussy came in during the tail end of the Romantic Era and is responsible for the Impressionist Era. He along with Faure, Ravel and Dupark brought the "French School" into power at that time. Debussy is know as the father of Impressionism, his piece "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" is still used today as THE score to study to truly understand the Impressionist Era.
