Codeine

Codeine is an opioid narcotic that binds to you opioid receptors. It is used for blocking moderate to moderately-severe pain. It is also prescribed for cough suppression and chronic diarrhea. Codeine is usually prescribed with APAP (acetaminophen or Tylenol) when used for pain relief.

Although not conclusive, there has been evidence to show that there may be risks in taking this drug while pregnant. Klonopin is a benzodiazepine derivative in which studies have shown that malformations can occur such as cardiac and facial deformations when such a drug is used early in one's pregnancy. Again, such data obtained from such studies are not conclusive; however, other defects from this range of drugs can also be development shortcomings such as decreased IQ. When used late in one's pregnancy, this could cause the child to suffer from benzodiazepine withdrawal which could include complications such as floppy infant syndrome, a reluctance to suck, impaired metabolic responses to cold stress, and more. Some of these symptoms may even persist for hours or months after birth. In short, although not conclusive, it might be best to stay off of this medication during one's pregnancy, or consult one's physician to find alternative medication which pose no threat to the development of the fetus.

Yes. Soma (also known as Carisoprodol) is a CNS muscle relaxant, and therefore will not cause any unwanted side effects when paired with an opioid pain killer, such as Tylenol 3.

Yes technically Vyvanse is a stimulant and Codeine is a CNS depressant...however, both of these are pro-drugs, which means that the active ingredient is not effective until it is metabolized by the liver. Vyvanse releases amphetamine once it is metabolized and Codeine is converted into Morphine once metabolized. As long as you are taking the recommended dosages and are prescribed both by the same doctor or doctors that are aware of each other, you will be good. If your intention is to abuse the two together, there is a chance that you might feel a mild "speedball" effect, which is simply a euphoric feeling one gets from mixing an opiate with a stimulant. This can be dangerous, however it is basically an EXTREMELY mild version of the effects produced when Heroin is mixed with Meth or Cocaine...which people do all the time and do not die from, but some HAVE...so if it's recreational use you are asking for...use at your own risk, but be at least be aware of the way the drugs work with the body...hopefully I provided you enough insight to do just that.

No, oxycodone does not have codeine in it. This drug is in Percocet (and others), which is a bit stronger than codeine. I don't know what prescription you (may) have, but often, the Percocet will also have aspirin or acetominophen (Tylenol) in it as well. This is called a "compound" drug because it has two different medications in it.

Well someone close to me accidentally took three 'Phenergan' tablets in the space of four hours which they were given for relief of a yet unknown severe rash because the box said up to three a night and did NOT stipulate how far apart they should be nor did the pharmacist or Dr explain it to them. ( my thoughts about the rash is that it is definitely psoriatic possibly psoriatic arthritis) SIX Days later they are still feeling weird as in spacey and having trouble getting the words to come out of their mouths as their brain wants. They have also slept for 14 hrs a night all week when before they took the pill they couldn't hardly sleep at all. Being told this gets eliminated from the body after 14 hrs is just not accurate when someone has taken three tablets. (as poisons information told me) depending on the person.

Tylenol, Aspirin, Naproxen (Aleve in America), Ibuprofen, ketorolac, (basically any NSAID), darvocet, hydrocodone (in most circumstances), Oxycodone, dilaudid, morphine, fentanyl, meperidine, methadone, the list goes on.

Actually codeine is a pretty crappy pain reliever anyway, you're not missing much. You'd probably get better results from ketorolac, ibuprofen or Naproxen even though they are available over the counter. Ahh, but the power of suggestion is strong though isn't it?

in my experience it is addictive, i have been on lorcets for years and very addicted to it.but my point is sometimes i would get codeine instead of lorcets and i would abuse them too..so yes it is addictve,so you have to be careful of getting dependent on them..i am clean now but its taken about 12 years i use to take allmost 30 a day.so be careful..

Yes you can take both together. Paracetamol kills the pain and the penicillin kills the infection.

If it is a dry cough ( no mucus, just scratching of your throat ) Than just fluids and cough drops ( it stays closer to your throat and will relieve it)

If there is mucus in your chest, try a hot shower to open up it up and lots of water and, if it's allergies, benadryl . If not than some DayQuil..

No, Darvocet* is a brand name* * for a propoxyphene compounded drug. It is a controlled substance, available legally only by prescription.

A lot of physicians just wont presecribe it at all because it is highly adictive. And many say that it just does not do the job, and that better products with fewer possible consequences are available. (Still it is a steady producer for Eli Lilly; all physicians are not in agreement.)

Propoxyphene is related to codeine and hydrocodone, but it is not the same.

Tylenol 4 has 1 more grain ov Codeine than fiorinal. Drug test put both medicines in an opiate category.

Tylenol 4 does not even contain 1 grain of codeine..it has 1/2 of a grain.Fiorinol is not codeine at all but a barbiturate, same as tuinol,seconol,nimbutol,and tuinol.A total different class of drugs.They will show up as different class of drugs.The above info is incorrect
