What does your fondest memory mean?
foundest memory is a memory you absolutly never would regret happening
How many megabytes in a 1 TB hard drive?
That's a bit like asking how many ounces a glass can hold - there are many different sizes of hard drives. However, the rule for data size conversion is that there are 1024 megabytes (MB) per gigabyte (GB). If it's important to go further, the same rule applies for kilobytes: 1024 kB/MB.
The actual number is 1024 (2^10), but it is often approximated to 1000.
How many characters are there in a kilobyte?
First, let's assume you are talking about modern computers that use the hexadecimal system. {Old systems use octal, and we won't go there in this answer.) The ASCII chart runs from hex 0 to hex 7F, so it takes two bytes to store one ASCII character. {see the Related Link for an ASCII chart} One kilobyte = 1000 bytes, thus 500 ASCII characters can normally by stored in one kilobyte. http://www.asciitable.com/
What the is meaning of 2 GB Ram?
What 2GB of RAM stands for is 2 Gigabytes of Random Access memory or RAM. These 2 GB of RAM tells you how much total memory can be stored within RAM, all it means is that 2 Gigabytes of total RAM can be stored within the memory of the RAM at at time when accessing desktop applications, and web browsers. The more RAM you have the faster the applications and we browser will run, because more RAM will allow the computer to store more information at a time. Also if you want to get more technical 2GB of RAM equals 2,000 Megabits and 2,000,000 Kilobytes.
Can you use a DDR2 RAM module in a DDR memory slot?
No DDR2 and DDR are not compatible and so you can not add DDR2 RAM module in a DDR Slot. Electrical specifications like voltage, signal pinout and even mechanical size and shape of modules are different.
Most likely not when you consider music, photos, apps, etc. 30 GB is the average for phones, but you could probably get way with 15 GB.
What sets static ram apart from dynamic ram?
Static RAM (SRAM)
1. 4 times more expensive
2. Very low access time
3. Can store ¼ as much
4. Information stored on RS flip-flops
5. No need for refreshing
Dynamic RAM (DRAM)
1. Low cost
2. Consumes less power
3. Can store 4 times as much
4. Information stored on FET transistors
5. Needs to be refreshed
Will two 512 mg dimms be faster than one 1gb dimm?
first of all its if NOT is
two seprate module of even same company will give less performance, because they are installed of a same bus, so one module can performa his action while second have to wait. on the other hand single module will give more performance.
What is the difference of sram and dram in terms of application?
DRAM is made with cells that store data as charge on capacitors. The presence or absence of charge on a capacitor is interpreted as a binary 1 or 0. Because capacitors have a natural tendency to discharge, dynamic RAMs require periodic charge refreshing to maintain data storage. The term dynamic refers to this tendency of the stored chrage to leak away, even with power continuously applied.
SRAM is a digital device, using the same logic elements used in the processor. In a SRAM, binary values are stored using traditional flip-flop logic-gate configurations. A static RAM will hold its data as long as power is supplied to it.

What is the meaning of ram in a computer and how it works?
RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It is physical memory installed in a computer or storage device as silicon chips, hard disk, floppy disk, CD, etc., that is addressable by, and is directly accessible to, a computer (CPU) in a non-sequential (random) manner.
How do you download pictures on a Mac to a memory card?
Some Macintosh Computers made in the last 5 years have an in built memeory card read/writer.
If you you are using the internal reader then inserting the card into the drive, waiting until the card appears onscreen and using the click-and-drag method to copy files from the Mac desktop to the memory card will work.
Should you have an earlier Mac that lacks the internal card drive then pluging the drive cable into the back of the Mac will allow access to the card.
Mac are a bit different to other machines in that draging a disk icon to the trash can will eject the disk
How to you transfer photos from a sim card to the computer?
If what you want to do is export your SIM contact list to your computer, then here is a tutorial http://www.entreeweb.com/software/how-to-download-your-sim-or-ruim-contact-list-to-your-computer/
right click my computer icon>properties>advanced>performance(settings)>advance>virtual memory(change).
keep the initial size remain same but change the max. size double the no. written.(eg.change 744 to 1488).
(note. this will increase your ram virtually.games which requires high ram will also run.)
How can you tell if the motherboard is shot?
The quickest way is to connect the motherboard to a power supply, attach video (and video card if there is not one on-board), keyboard, mouse, and memory and turn it on. The screen should show the video subsystem first, then it will either show a system information screen or a pretty logo. You SHOULD get an error that the floppy drive is not working. If so, that means that the motherboard is OK. If you get no video at all, and it has on-board video, check your jumpers to make sure the onboard video is not disabled. If it IS enabled and there is still no picture, just put some butter on it, it is toast! Steve
What kind of RAM do you install in a laptop?
depending on the laptop, it could be DDR, DDR2 or DDR3. But the form factor is all the same. Its all SO-DIMM memory
What is the memory that is erasedevery time you turn off your computer?
DRAM - Dynamic Random Access Memory
It's dynamic meaning temporary - changes in electrical current are faster than changes in a magnetic surface, so memory based on just electrical current flow is quite a bit faster than floppy or hard drive memory. Memory chips have a very large number of 'virtual' capacitors each can have either voltage or not; 0 = none, 1 = voltage. These capacitors are small and fast enough that they are 10 to 1000 times faster than any magnetic media (harddrives) - BUT they rely on a charge being held in the capacitors: turn off the power, voltage drains off the mini-capacitors i.e. the data is lost. Note: memory could be set to hold the charge a lot longer but the higher the charge (longer it will hold after powered down) the longer switching it on and off will take, thereby negating any reason to use it instead of magnetic media.
What is the CMOS in computers?
CMOS stands for complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor. It is a kind of technology used in some microchips.
As applied to personal computers, CMOS typically refers to the component used to store BIOS (basic input-output system) code because those chips used to be made exclusively with CMOS technology. A CMOS error is the same as a BIOS error.
What is the process in which programming code in rom bios and sometimes copied to ram called?
Flashing
1000 bytes in a kilobyte. 1000 kilobytes in a megabyte. 1000 megabytes in a gigabyte. 1000 gigabytes in a terrabyte.
because if you dont refresh the data stored in the floating node will leak out with time
How do you transfer pictures to a memory stick from my computer?
First insert your memory card into the apropriate memory slot in your computer. If your somputer is not equiped with a built-in memory card reader you must purchase a memory card reader from any local electronics store, these are usually pluged into an existing USB port on your computer. Using windows operating system click on the start button. Now click on my computer, open whichever folder contains the photos that you wish to transfer. Next select the first photo that you would like to transfer to your memory stick by clicking the left mouse button once. if you would like to select more than one photo you can press and hold the CRTL key and left click all of the additional files you would like to transfer to your memory stick. Now open a new window by clicking start button and opening a new window for my computer. Once your memory stick is pluged into the computer you should see a new drive option come into the window. (for example it maybe drive G:, H:, I:, J:, K: and so forthe) Now Resize each of your windows so that they are side by side. now the window with your files selected you left click on one of the files you have selected and have highlighted and you will drag them over to the window that you have opened for your memory stick. Windows should automaticaly copy the files and move "paste" them to the window with the memory stick. this may take some time depending on the size of the photos and the amount of photos you wish to transfer. Once transfered you will be able to remove the memory stick from your memory card reader. Now the memoiry stick has all the pictures saved in it interal memory. I hope this has answered your question...
What kind of memory is stored on a hard drive?
it uses a magnetic North/South binary, where a north magnetic pull is a 1, and a south is a 0
What are the symptoms caused by a dead memory module?
If you have a dead memory module (RAM Unit) then the computer should refuse to start up, and your BIOS should signal you with various long and short beeps. Refer to information on your particular BIOS to find out what you're looking for.
