Confucius impacted the Han dynasty through his education beliefs. The methods of testing for power and the focus of Chinese education on memorization all came from Confucius. Han Wu Di, Liu Che, listened to him as he adopted the 'du zun ru xue' policy which meant that only Confucianism was learnt.

His father's name is Kong He (孔纥) also called Shu-liang He (叔梁纥) in Chinese historic books. Confucius's mother is Yan Zheng-zai (颜徵在) She was a young concubine (妾) of Shu-liang He at his 60s since he want a son to pass down the family.

Confucius influenced society through encouraging education for all social levels, and his central theory which is alive today, was the Golden Rule. Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done To You.

Confucius was a Chinese philosopher, born sometime around 551 BC into the class of shi, which was between the aristocracy and the commoners. However, his father, a military officer, died when Confucius was three years old, and he was raised in poverty by his mother.

He had specific beliefs about the world and shared them to people all over China that spread to different nations worldwide. His impact on the world he made gives him a major role in all religion and beliefs.

He wanted to bring order to society, so that the rulers would be role models. Confucius thought it was important because he wanted them not to be cruel. Rulers had developed a propensity of being cruel to slaves and other classes.

Confucianism was was not discovered as much as created by the philosophies of Chinese Philosopher Confucius himself. The followers of Confucianism follow his teachings, it was not discovered but invented.

They though if people respected each other well there would be peace and harmony.

They don't really believe in anything in the spirtual sense. They beleived that people can be good give the right circumstances and timing. Also you must have a great respect elders, anscestors, and the importance of family.

Many beleived in Confucianism and some other form of philosophy such as Buddhism or Taoism (Daoism).

Confucianism was supported because it taught that people need to give up their worely desires in order to reach heaven and they had to give up everything in order to reach heaven. So Confucius set out in a tree for 49 days wondering how to end peoples suffering

The Five Basic Relationships

According to Confucius, each person had a specific place in society and certain duties to fulfill. Confucius hoped that if people knew what was expected of them they would behave correctly. Therefore, he set up five principal relationships in which most people are involved. These relationships were (1) ruler and subject; (2) father and son; (3) elder brother and younger brother; (4) husband and wife; and (5) friend and friend. All, except the last, involve the authority of one person over another. Power and the right to rule belong to superiors over subordinates; that is, to older peo ple over younger people, to men over women. Each person has to give obedience and respect to "superiors"; the subject to his ruler, the wife to her husband, the son to his par ents, and the younger brother to the older brother. The "superior," however, owes loving responsibility to the inferior.

To practice Propriety (jen) is necessary for peace and order according to Confucianism.
