Why do you have so many races of people on earth?
There is really only one race of people: the Human race. What people now define as races are in fact imperfect categorizations of different physical features that people who come from within a defined geographic area have in common. It is man's nature to box and to categorize, and the "races" are just another example of this tendency with no scientifically sustainable method of drawing hard lines between the "races".
What evolution do sloths have?
Sloths have evolved to have slow metabolisms, long claws for hanging on trees, and a specialized digestive system to break down their leafy diet efficiently. Their slow movement and greenish tinge help camouflage them in the treetops, protecting them from predators.
The intelligent design movement seeks scientific backings for creationism?
The Intelligent Design movement has been seeking scientific backing for creationism since the late twentieth century. Unfortunately for the movement, no such support has been forthcoming, nor is it likely to come, since so-called Intelligent Design is unsupported by facts or evidence.
9Then God said, "Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear." And that is what happened. 10 God called the dry ground "land" and the waters "seas." And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the land sprout with vegetation-every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came." And that is what happened. 12 The land produced vegetation-all sorts of seed-bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.
13 And evening passed and morning came, marking the third day.
Hope that helps!
How can theological and scientific truths be explained in relation to creation?
It should also be noted that the Big Bang is a truth. Things such as red shift and the cosmological background radiation are proof that it happened. That is fact.
How it happened exactly is still under research, but it is believed the answer lies in dark matter. See "A Universe From Nothing" on YouTube for an hour long lecture on the current hypothesis concerning dark matter, virtual particles and other phenomena about this subject.
In the creation story why is it said that God rested on the seventh day?
In the Christian perception of God, he should never need to rest, thus making the seventh day an anachronism. However, the Jews wanted to know why they were required to hold the seventh day to be a day of rest. One version of the Ten Commandments says that God commanded the Israelites to respect the sabbath day because that was the day on which God rested.
What evidence is there to support the modern creation story?
The great German Mathematician Grollmitzer was experimenting with differential calculus (aka Kalkuluos in that time) when his long time Russian friend Swares Konkarow gave him an inspiration. Grollmitzer was also a friend of a Chinese biologist, know as Diana Tulip in England, and together they discovered a mathematical equation for evolution and modern creation theory. So, in a way, there is mathematical evidence that supports the Modern Creation Theory. Thanks to Konkarow,Grollmitzer, and Diana.
What is the difference between the Muslim creation story and the big bang theory?
The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of 'smoke' (i.e. an opaque highly dense and hot gaseous composition).
God says in Quran (meaning English translation):
Because the earth and the heavens above (the sun, the moon, stars, planets, galaxies, etc.) have been formed from this same 'smoke,' we conclude that the earth and the heavens were one connected entity. Then out of this homogeneous 'smoke,' they
formed and separated from each other.
God has said in the Quran:
Dr. Alfred Kroner is one of the world's renowned geologists. He is Professor of Geology and the Chairman of the Department of Geology at the Institute of Geosciences, Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. He said: "Thinking where Muhammad
came from . . . I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out within the last few years, with very complicated and advanced technological methods, that
this is the case.". Also he said: "Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics fourteen hundred years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind, for instance, that the earth and the heavens had the same origin."
This amazing matchings between the Quran scientific satements and the recent scientific discoveries and theories (which are called scientific miracles of Quran) confirms that Quran is God revelation and not man-made text.

Who will give a guest lecture on Creationism?
The Institute for Creation Science and Answers in Genesis are just two organisations that have speakers available to give lectures on Creationism.
What happened on the 6th day of creation?
On the sixth day, God created all land-dwelling creatures. He also created Man ("Adam" is a derivation of the Hebrew word for man) from the dust of the ground. He brought all of the land animals and birds to Man to have him name them. When Man had finished this and there was found no creature like him, God said that it was not good for Man to be alone. He caused Man to fall into a deep sleep, during which He formed a wife for Man out of his side. When Man awoke, he saw his wife and named her Woman.
Note: Woman was not called by the name Eve until after the Fall in Genesis 3.
How did God make light on the first day?
According to the Bible, God created light on the first day by simply saying, "Let there be light," and separating it from darkness. This act of creation is often seen as the beginning of the process of forming the universe.
How old is the creationism theory?
If you're talking about the 'Creation Account', according to the Bible, it's as old as mankind.
According to Bible chronology, Adam was created in 4026 BCE.
Eve some time after.
The account of creation was written by Moses in 1513 BCE, when he was in the wilderness.
However, the heavens and the earth were created "in the beginning", long before mankind was created. The Bible never comments on how long ago that was, so the earth and the planets and the stars, etc, could have been around for billions of years before man was ever created. The creation account in the Bible only talks about the time when God turned his attention to the 'already existing' earth, to prepare it for life.
The story has different interpretations depending on which bible is being used as well as who is doing the interpreting. The first five days of creation are much the same in most bibles. It has always been my understanding that there were 7 days of creation. It's on the 6th day when the story seems to take a bit of a twist. God says '..let us make man in our image..'. For some scholars, it is believed and taught that God is simply 'stating'' that He is going to be creating man in His image but did not actually do it on the 6th day. On the 7th day God rested. So now we have 5 consecutive days of creation, and two days when God did not work, the 6th and the 7th.. Immediately following God's day off, the story says that God prepared a garden and begins the forming of Adam. Clearly, it is another day and God is back at work again. Although it is actually the 8th consecutive day, it is widely accepted as being the 6th day of creation. This particular interpretation seems somewhat incomplete. The story of creation as I have known it, was that God did in fact create ' mankind ' on the 6th day, that is to say He populated the entire earth with people of all races. It also seems to make the timeline more accurate. Six consecutive days of creation, the 7th day of rest and the creation of Adam and Eve on the following day. This seems more sensible of an interpretation. A point of interest happened while Caine was argueing with God saying that he had no place to go and that "..they will surely kill me.." Who are " ..they?". Certainly, there were other people on the earth before Adam and Eve.
What did god created during the 7 days of creation?
The universe in general (Genesis 1:1)light; day and night
the firmament (expanse; atmosphere; vault of the heavens)
the continents (by separating dry land and the seas)
plants
the sun, moon and stars
birds and fish
land animals
mankind.
The light of the first three days was not the sun; it was light that had no physical source, and it was later concealed from us.
Genesis ch.2 is not taken into account here because according to tradition, there is only one Genesis creation-narrative, with ch.2 serving as an expansion of the brevity of ch.1, not a separate set of events (Rashi commentary, Gen.2:8). In ch.1, God created the universe from nothing (Exodus 20:11, Isaiah 40:28; Maimonides' "Guide," 2:30; Targum and Nachmanides on Gen. 1:1; Rashi commentary, Gen.1:14), and in ch.2, God performed specific acts within the broader picture.

How could a new universe be created from a big crunch?
For starters, the universe was formed from a big bang not crunch. When the big bang happened a bunch of rocks and gases were in space. The rocks and gases then clumped together and then planets were formed.
How did God explain his creation after each day?
By saying that each created thing was good (Genesis ch.1), God thereby explained that the created things were purposeful and meaningful.
Day by day, God created the universe and its contents (Genesis ch.1).God created the universe out of nothing (Exodus 20:11, Isaiah 40:28; Rashi commentary to Genesis 1:14; Maimonides' "Guide," 2:30).Note that the Torah, in describing the Creation, deliberately employs brevity and ellipsis, just as it does in many other topics. See the Talmud, Hagigah 11b.

The six days of God's Creation?
The days of Creation have always been a matter of debate. Not all believed in a literal 6 24 hour days like the Post Roman Catholic fundamentalists. In fact most did not think this is what was meant here. Many early church fathers saw the first 7 days as 7,000 years. The Bible makes two interesting statements, one in 1 Peter (a day unto the Lord is as 1,000 years unto man) and the other in Psalms 90 that led many early Rabbis and even the students of the apostles to believe they could each have been 1,000 or more years. Why? Because the number 1,000 to the ancient Hebrews was an almost uncountable sum that could represent more than 1,000 because the text in Psalms implies 1,000 years to man is like a blink of God's eye. It is said that Gid is the owner of the cattle of 1,000 hills but in truth they are all His and there are many more than a mere 1,000 hills, Therefore before Adam we are speaking of days as God saw them not as man sees them. The bible always speaks in terms of 10's of 1,000's and we have summations like 10,000 x 10,000 and never millions or billions. A great scientifically oriented perspective comes from MIT Professor Dr. Gerald Schroeder titled "The Age od the Universe". I recommend reading this before coming to any dogmatic conclusions. Paul
What is the order of events of God's creation from the first to the seventh day?

Dear asker
May I submit my opinion only regarding your question. As space is not empty but consists of spirit matter and the force which governs it. The spirit matter is so fine that it is not visible. The force is the power of God. He has the power to organize that matter to any form he so desires. Now comes the tricky bit. If God is able to organise that spirit matter then it must have some degree of intelligence to be able to obey. A grain of sand is made up of atoms so that we can see it, but it's intelligence is still only that of a grain of sand as it is with all things. It is this writers opinion that all that we see around us, including man was made spiritually before being sent to earth. The scriptures tell us that God made man from the dust of the earth and placed in him his spirit (And intelligence) so that he became a living thing. This may also apply to the first animals and plant life.
The scriptures tell us that they were on earth before Adam because Adam had to name all of them. The way is now paved so that through the natural process of procreation these waiting spirits may come to earth in their own allotted time and place. Remember this is only the opinion of this writer.
How old are the pillars of creation?
The Pillars of Creation are a star-forming region in the Eagle Nebula, estimated to be about 5.7 million years old. The iconic pillars themselves are no longer standing as they were destroyed by a nearby supernova explosion approximately 6,000 years ago.
How many light years is Sirius from the sun?
Sirius is located about 8.6 light years away from the Sun.
What is a sentence with creation?
The artist put her heart and soul into the creation of a stunning masterpiece.
Are any know stars 100000 light years away?
No. The Milky Way Galaxy is approximately 100,000 light years in diameter. The Solar System is about 26,000 light years from the center of the galaxy. Thus the furthest stars which are in the galaxy would be about 74,000 light years away but we can't actually see them because there is too much gas and dust and other stars in the way. The Milky Way does have four dwarf galaxies nearby. two of them are closer than 100,000 light years. The other two, the Magellanic Clouds are farther, 160,00 and 200,000 light years away, respectively. Individual stars can be seen in those galaxies and imortant studies of them have been made. In particular, study of the cepheid variable stars in those galaxies showed a simple mathematical relationship between their pariod of variability and their absolute magnitude, or brightness. Once the actual distance to a nearby cepheid was determined, this allowed us to calculate the distances to all known cepheid variables, including those in the Magellanic Clouds and other galaxies out to a few million light years distance.
There are at least two, quite different forms of creationism, and the question of whether creationism is credible must be applied separately to each. No doubt, both Young-Earth creationism and Old-Earth creationism are credible to their proponents, but the question must be whether they are credible to other well informed people.
Young-Earth creationism holds that the Earth is only a few thousand years old, usually around six thousand. However, science has proven conclusively that the world is billions of years old, so this can not be credible. Because of the overwhelming evidence that the world is certainly more than six thousand years old, some Young-Earth creationists have adapted Young-Earth creationism by saying that each of the days stated in Genesis chapter 1 was really an almost indefinite period of time. According to this version, the world could be many thousands of years old. This not only undermines the standard Young-Earth creationism argument, but it is even less credible, given that there is no supporting evidence for this, not even biblical evidence.
Old-Earth creationism accepts the scientific evidence for the great age of the Earth, so from this point of view it is more credible than Young-Earth creationism. Nevertheless, some Old-Earth creationists say that God created all living things just as they are today. Others accept that species evolved, but say that this was not the result of natural selection but Intelligent Design. Both versions of Old-Earth creationism fail in the face of scientific evidence, although Intelligent Design is more sophisticated and therefore somewhat more credible. Intelligent Design is also claimed by some Young-Earth creationists, perhaps because it has captured the imagination of a proportion of the population, but it seems inherently an Old-Earth creationism concept.
Ultimately credibility comes down to whether a hypothesis is compatible with the scientific evidence. Creationists do not put forward scientific evidence to support their hypotheses, instead proposing various ways in which they believe they can undermine the evidence for evolution. Occasionally, scientists respond (eg. Dawkins, Perakh, et al)and demonstrate the failure of these arguments. So, to be credible, creationism has to adapt further, until its claims are at least somewhat consistent with the scientific evidence.
