A writer conceives of a story by drawing inspiration from various sources such as personal experiences, observations, imagination, and research. They may start with a central idea, character, or theme and then develop the plot, setting, and characters through brainstorming, outlining, and drafting to bring the story to life. Collaboration and feedback from others can also play a key role in shaping the story's development.

It's not weird at all. Writing about the process of writing can offer unique perspectives and insights into the creative process. Many authors have successfully explored this meta-writing theme in their works.

Well, naturally, she has a writers mind so it is easier for her to write a story, but for her to start a story she imagines stuff going in peoples life that they can't escape from so she writes a story to prove them particular people are remembered, if it is a happy story she might of thought of something happy in her life and changed it slightly to make it more interesting so readers will be fixed to her story and so that's how she is very successful.

The title of a story often reflects the central themes or key events within the narrative. It can provide readers with insight into the plot, characters, or overall message of the story, serving as a focal point for understanding the development that unfolds.

Writers use any literary device to make the writing more vivid. A synecdoche is a way to abbreviate so that you can use one or two words to explain what you're trying to say, as in saying "Washington beat Dallas 5 to 1" when you mean "Washington's team beat Dallas' team."

Short words make the writing move faster. Short sentences make it move faster, too. Action scenes need to move quickly.

When you have a long sentence, with many long words and perhaps unfamiliar phrases or idioms, the reader slows down to make sure he or she is not missing anything, and this slows down the action.

To write a story about an elevator, you can start by depicting a character's experience of getting on one and explore their thoughts and emotions during the ride. You can introduce twists like unexpected stops, encounters with other passengers, or even supernatural elements to add intrigue. Consider using the elevator as a metaphor for a character's journey or as a setting for suspenseful events to make the story more engaging.

One key characteristic is transitioning from organizing ideas and structure to actually writing and fleshing out those ideas in the draft. This involves expanding on the points in the outline, adding details, examples, and transitions to create a more complete piece of writing.

Usually you just count anything three or more letters - or let your word processing program count it for you!

Writers can manipulate time in a story by using techniques such as flashbacks, flash-forwards, scene transitions, pacing, and narrative structure. These tools allow writers to control the flow of time within the narrative and create tension, suspense, or convey important information to the reader in a nonlinear way.

Writing is easy once you get the hang of it. Just pretend you're telling your story to your best friends and write down what you'd say. Then check to be sure you have correct spelling and grammar and you've got a good story!

Horror is SUPPOSED to be horrific - if the movie or story is NOT horrific and surprising to the audience, you have not made a 'horror' movie.

I read a lot, and used to read horror as a kid. My favorite horror writer would have to be H.P. Lovecraft. He might be a little on the wordy side - but he could always deliver the surprise and horror, unlike many modern writers.

A nut-job running around with an axe or chainsaw just doesn't do it for me. That's just some psychotic criminal with inventive weapon choices. But - a creature able to drive someone slowly insane just because that person has seen some carved images that aren't quite 'right' ... that's creepy and open for a LOT of interesting things to happen before the insane character meets whatever end is coming.

A story element is a fundamental component that makes up a narrative, such as characters, setting, plot, conflict, and theme. These elements work together to create a cohesive story that engages and captivates the audience.

A writer can show transparency in their work by clearly citing sources, being open about potential biases or conflicts of interest, and presenting information in a clear and honest manner. Transparency can also be demonstrated through providing background information, acknowledging limitations, and inviting feedback or dialogue from readers.

A character in a story who is not highly developed or lacks character traits is considered a "flat" character. This is opposed to a main character or a supporting character who is explored in sufficient depth. They are referred to as "round" characters.

You would give a little description at the beginning, and then spend the story telling all the exciting or funny things that happen to that hole! What sorts of things happen when you have a hole -- you imagine them and write it all down.

Well, you have to focus on the main points of the story. I would tackle this one by jotting down some key points of the story and then expanding on that. It may also help to follow the main character (so to speak) as they generally have the most important roll in the story. Basically just figure out where your going and stay on track!! :)

This depends on the writer. Most of us have no set "workflow" as you'd think of it in another field. We research, come up with new ideas, write, edit, and rearrange scenes as it comes to us. The one thing that is always true, however, is that you must have the book finished before you move to the publication step - that includes professional editing.

Not if you look at the sales of books, magazines, newspapers (and their online versions as well), Kindles and Nooks (and other e-readers), movies, TV shows, and radio (which rely on writing to create their scripts), advertising --- do you really need more proof?
