There was no Victor Ejector gun company. Your gun is known as a "Trade Brand Name" shotgun. A "Trade Brand Name" shotgun is one that was made by a major gun maker (and before 1940) for and was sold by a wholesale sporting goods dealer, a retail chain store, or an independent seller who chose the name to go on the gun. Guns with the name VICTOR EJECTOR were made by the Crescent Firearms Company of Norwich, CT (1892 to 1930+) for and were sold at wholesale by the H & D Folsom Company of New York City a large wholesale, retail, jobber and distributor of guns and sporting goods. The records of Crescent Firearms were destroyed in a scrap paper drive in 1943 during World War Two. H & D Folsom owned Crescent Fire Arms from 1893 to 1930 and what ever Folsom wanted, Crescent made. And what they wanted was a lot of inexpensive (read cheap) shotguns fast. Folsom also owned the name American Gun Co. The shotguns sold new for between $15 and $25 and hasn't appreciated much over the years. The current value will depend on the guns condition, the amount of original finish remaining on the metal and wood as well as the mechanical condition. Most of these guns in excellent condition will bring between $50 and $75.

Crescent operated from 1893 to 1930. There doesn't seem to be any source to pinpoint dates of manufacture by serial numbers.

Crescent was a subsidiary of H&D Folsom Sporting Goods, New York. Many of their products were sold through Folsom's retail outlets, but Folsom was also a large wholesale dealer and many Crescent guns were marked with the names or trademarks of other retail chains and even independent hardware stores.

They sold a million utility shotguns that were "branded" by hardware stores and the like. Typical value is $85 to $250.

Your gun with the elg proofmark would put it made around 1894. It is not suitable to fire modern rounds. In good shape it is worth about $100 and around $250 in excellent condition.
