Some matches are played with the rule that you have to win by at least two legs, especially in the last set when playing sets. For example, if you are playing best of five legs per set and best of five sets, you are tied two sets each, and you are tied in the last set two legs each, the match would not be over after the fifth leg because the winner of the fifth leg would be ahead by only one.

Personally, I always go for T20 - D20; if you miss the first treble 20 and hit single 20, you are left with 80, which is attainable by T16 - D16.

I've seen professionals throw a perfect nine-darter in under four or five minutes, and I've seen beginners spend twenty minutes just trying to hit the double-1, so it depends a lot on the player's skill level. I suppose an average leg in a league match would be about 20 or 25 minutes.

121 is wrong. It is not possible to get 119 with two darts so how can 121 be the lowest score you cannot get with two darts. A lot of people think it's 99 due to the fact that it's the lowest number for which you need 3 darts to finish. But they forget that a treble is allowed for the 2nd dart. (99 = T19,T14)

Cheaper dart boards are made of cork or some type of coiled paper. Quality dart boards are made of sisal fibers. Sisal fibers are from a plant that looks like a pineapple with swords growing from the top (the swords look somewhat like aloe leaves) and are often grown in Brazil.
