-Also make sure that if you're still in school that you can keep your grades up, because you will have to donate a lot of time towards your boyfriend or girlfriend, and sometimes that can cost you time where you might really need it the most.
Basically, it's up to you and when you think that you are ready. You may think that you're mature enough, but make sure that you know for sure, because heartbreak is something that you really don't want to go through if things don't turn out right in the end. Just be comfortable, and be yourself and you should find the right person that will make it a bit easier for you and your relationship if you choose to have one.

It also depends on the girl. If the girl is immature, self-centered, and disrespectful she shouldn't be allowed to. No one should be able to date until their mature enough to treat the other person with respect and be considerate of the other person. A person that is emotionally unstable shouldn't be able to date. I think it should be decided on a case by case basis, but for the most part, I don't see why not as long as she isn't going out and partying or doing anything illegal. There should also be a set time that she needs to be back by, and she should have a cell phone with her (and some cash) so she could call her parents or the cops if needed. yes, as long as the person she is dates treats her with utmost respect.

Different people react to things in different ways. However, it is most likely that when a child suffers any kind of abuse as a child, whether it is physically or emotionally, most of them end up to be abusive to their children unless they seek help.
Back to my cousins, one of them is great with women, and has no hard feelings about the matter. He was able to realize that not all women are bad, and everyone deserves a chance.
However, the other one hasn't grasped that point yet. Some do not get over the fact. They saw their highest female role model leave them and turn out to be a terrible person, so they end up believing all women are like that. This is highly possible if the problem occured when the children are young.
