They thought women should be housewives and stay at home to cook, clean and look after children. They also thought at the end of the war the women had taken their jobs away from them. By working, the women challenged the stereotype people had made for themselves.

Life in 1910-1914 was very difficult, women had no power to vote to change any government ideas. They were bossed around by their husbands and they were often bullied into doing things. They had to do all the cooking, cleaning, washing etc. Families were very poor and about 95% of the people living in Britain were poor, the other 5% were rich. The rich would never even be seen dead talking to the poor. They were very greedy and selfish people. Overall, life in 1910-1914 was so much worse then how it is now, except as each year goes on, we pollute the earth which means we get closer to global warming. Back in those days there were trees in the city! and there were all these forests and farms, now, in 2012, we have nothing. This shoes what we live like, were disgusting. Life back then was much better because we cared for earth, we didn't trash things onto it. Think about it, in movies you see how pretty things were, now its all gone.

Girls in the 1910s wore dresses just below the knee and knee high socks that girls wore in the 1900s evolved into ankle high socks, girls wore their hair in bows behind their head. Boys wor pant called knickabocas which are short pants that fell just below the knee, wiith this they wore long, black, knee high socks.

A Queen may be a monarch, or may be the wife of a King, in which case she does not reign or rule. Britain did have a Queen (Mary) during WW1, but she was not the monarch; her husband ( King George V ) was.

James Schoolcraft Sherman was the Republican Vice President of the United States from March 4, 1909 until October 30, 1912. He died a few days prior to his second reelection and the Vice Presidency was vacant for a period after his death. there were tons of fires what kind of a answer is that, this is the real life. the only way for people to get money if they were young was for there parents to send them to a factory if the were girls, if they where boys the would go and work in steel factorys. the homes were realy rundown and other people would live in gutters or on the streets. it would be day before a dead horse was removed of the streets. few people even had homes they where lucky if they could even have food.
