Well YEAH!!! I think there's no Degrassi without Emma or Manny.. They have been there since the very beginning.. The first episode was about them.. Yes, Emma, Manny, and Liberty share a dorm at college in the 8th season of Degrassi. The only thing that sucks though about this new season of Degrassi is that no one who has ALWAYS been on Degrassi: TNG is has already graduated... Craig left Degrassi for Vancouver after Ellie encouraged him to pursue a solo career and follow his dream of being a musician. He returned in Season 6 while Ellie was at university, studying to be a journalist and dating the editor of The Core, Jesse. His cocaine addiction caused Manny to break up with him, and Ellie was the one who stayed by his side when things spiraled out of control. Craig told Ellie he loved her, but she believed it was just a game to him, a desperate attempt to get her to give him back the drugs. She felt betrayed, having just confessed that she always loved him, and at the airport, even though he says he meant it and had felt that way for a long time without having the courage to express it, she says goodbye and sends him to rehab.

Craig and Marco rescue Ellie when she wades out into the ocean, since she doesn't know how to swim, and Craig takes care of her. Ellie tells him that she knows she can't fix her father's post traumatic stress disorder and Craig tells her that no one expects her to take care of everyone else without having her own needs. He tenderly brushes her hair back and makes her breakfast before taking her to the airport so she can go see her father in the hospital. As she's leaving Craig regrets not being able to tell her how much he loves her and everything he feels for her, but just before she boards the plane they both turn around and go back to each other as if pulled together by some magnetic force. They hug and then kiss, knowing that although they're in different places, they're connected by something deeper and one day they'll be together.

J.T. gave Manny the idea to throw a party for Liberty since it was her birthday. At the party Liberty claims J.T. still loved her and was just scared. When J.T doesn't answer to Liberty's question he mentions that he has a girlfriend, Mia Jones. She asks him if he loves her and he said yes and then Liberty runs away and because of which he talks to Toby and he admits to him that it was true that he does still does Liberty and he decided to go after Liberty. He comes across two Lakehurst kids (Johnny DiMarco and Drake Lemke) where Johnny was going on his car. He made a witty comeback which eventually made Drake mad. J.T went to get into his car to find Liberty and Drake ran up behind him and stabbed him in the back (puncturing his aortic artery). Both Lakehurst kids run away and Liberty finds J.T. She runs over to him, screams for help, and he is taken to the hospital. A doctor comes, talks to Toby, and tells him that the damage couldn't be fixed and that J.T was dead. "I`m sorry, but your brother's gone" were the doctor's exact words. Toby told her that he was J.T's brother because she needed to talk to a family member but his Grandma wasn't coming for hours. After hearing the news, Manny bursts into tears and Sean bangs his fist against the wall. Liberty hears the slam and runs up to Toby. He gives her the bad news.
