Degrassi
Degrassi is a Canadian-produced teen drama on CTV and Nickelodeon. The show started as "Degrassi Junior High" in January 1987 and ended in March 1989. It evolved to "Degrassi High" in November 1989 and it ended in January 1991, it then aired a movie called "School's Out" in 1992 in an effort to close out the series. In October 2001, the series continued with "Degrassi: The Next Generation."

BTW, Degrassi: The Next Generation isn't even filmed at a school. It's filmed in a warehouse at Epitome Pictures in Toronto.
Correction......Degrassi is a real place. Degrassi Streetis a street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which was made famous by the Degrassi series of television shows for youth. The first Degrassi series, The Kids of Degrassi Street on CBC, was filmed in a real public school on the real Degrassi Street, although the later series moved to a film soundstage. The series continues as Degrassi: The Next Generation on CTV.
