In one episode, Carolyn Bigsby was a villain. Edie Britt is not a villain, but she often does cross the line at times. Victor Lang is not a villain, but he tries to kill Carlos Solis.

Victor died in Season 4 and Gabrielle married Carlos Solis (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) She had an affair with John Rowland (her teenage gardner) in Season 1 who is played by Jesse Metcalfe.

Yes, she left after season 6. She didn't announce that she wasn't coming back until the summer hiatus in 2010 after the sixth season was finished. Her character , Stella Bonasera, was replaced with a new character, Jo Danville, played by Sela Ward starting at the beginning of season 7 in the fall of 2010.

In the first episode of season 7 it was revealed that Detective Bonasera had gone to New Orleans to become the head of that city's crime lab.

In Season 2, An episode where they took Gaby's and Carlos's Baby away was pretty sad.

Also the end part of season 3 episode 7 where Lynette had a dream after the hostage situation in the store.

The scene where Gaby was releasing the balloons for her baby and she was forced to confront her grief-- heartbreaking.

Carlos Solis goes blind in Desperate Housewives Season 4 (Episode 9 "Something's Coming) because in the tornado he is outside fighting with Victor (whom his ex-wife Gabrielle Solis had married) and he is hit across the face by something swept up due to the winds.

However, in Season 5 he regains his sight fully because of an operation to remove a fragment that impaired his vision. This was only noticed because he had sustained injuries to the head in the Season 5 'sweep' episode ("City On Fire", episode 8) and the fragment was found by doctors.

On the hand which she wears a glove when she wanted to frame Paul Young for supposedly killing her she chopped of two of her fingers. Obviosuly it was later found out she chopped off her own fingers and now as not to freak people out (although she still does) she wears the glove. She wants to be close with Susan too - only to get closer to be able to kill Paul Young so she wears the glove to make Susan more comfertable around her.

Nope, I thought it was a new actor, too, but it turns out that he just shaved and looks cleaner. The actor playing the part of Carlos Solis is in another production that required him to shave. They mention that in the first or second episode of this season (season 7). In the hospital, Carlos says something like "I don't think you recognize me because I've shaved, but the golf clubs.....".

It's still the same actor, just cleaner and cuter.
