This is an International KB7 probably the 1947-48-49 model years. The cab style is that of pre-war International 1939 model year. Production was halted due to the war and after the war the company re-geared the production line using the existing equipment. After the war most cities and towns had only old fire trucks in their inventory, the demand for anything new was very very high. International saw the opportunity and quickly adapted the KB7 and KB8 models for use as trucks and to add to their value had an electric two speed axle which gave rural depts additional hill climbing power, something the rest of the market did not offer. My hometown of Osceola, Iowa had one of these exact same trucks as depicted and as a boy I was allowed to ride in the cab when my mechanic Dad took it out for a test drive after servicing. The truck is now in the museum in Osceola, Iowa and last time I looked only had about 10 thousand miles on the odometer.

The value of the model will be the kind of "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" meaning that if you want the model bad enough dollars don't matter.

To the old school firemen who actually used these trucks and their families the model brings back many memories.

yes - in fact Brio came up with the original defacto "standard" (track width, connectors, etc) in the late 1950's and it's probably more correct to say that (wooden) Thomas train sets (that first came out in the early 1990's) are compatible with Brio.

The IKEA wooden trains and tracks are also compatible. The only real problem being that the bridge on the IKEA set is too low for the Thomas trains to fit under.

In my opinion, Yes and No, a short card is worth less than a long card, if its a year

2010 series or older. A short card is worth more if its 2011 series, because the way i see it they have a better card, showing the whole vehicle, they are primary only available at supermarkets, which means thousands of people see them, which is harder to get a set, and they normally cost more, but how much more its worth can be challenging, as its probably only a dollar or two,

A 2011 super hunt short card, has got to be rarer than the super hunt on a long card, which is rarer than the regular hunt,
