No! Dilaudid is a very strong drug.... 80 mg in one day would kill a horse. Even 8 mg in a 24 hour period is a very high dose (if we are talking IV form). Pill form is less strong and can be taken in a higher mg dose, but nothing CLOSE to 80 mg. An average dose in pill form would be 2-4 mg every 4-6 hours. Anything more than this should not be taken unless the person has a very high tolerance to narcotics.

Dilaudid is roughly 5-7x more potent than morphine where as hydrocodone is .6 the potency of 10mg of morphine. So the hydrocodone would be much less potent as hydromorphone (dilaudid) or morphine.

well it depends on how you take dilaudid. if you are taking the narcotic pill it should take any where 15 to 30 minutes to kick in if you are getting it Intravenously (iv) you will feel the effects rapidly. If your going to snort the pill it should take only 5 to 10 minutes to feel the effects. this all depends on your tolerance too.

Please be careful with diluadid its a very strong narcotic use wisely

yes you can ive been injecting it for months now all you have to do is crush it up and put the powder in a spoon add water and cook it with a lighter then after it boils add a piece of cotton to it and then take a needle and draw back the water in the cotton

There is no codiene in Lorcet, the ingredient is hydrocodone with tylenol. The milligram dosage of the hydrocodone is on the bottle.....such as Lorce t 10/650. The "10" being the hydrocodone and the "650" being the the tylenol. Annabelle50

Dilaudid is good for most pain, however...it is as much abused as it is used for what it is prescribed for. Narcotic Analgesics don't really TOTALLY eliminate all pain. For many people it "make you feel better" so that the pain "does not feel as bad". It should really be used for those who are in 'dire straits'. Otherwise, try a couple of extra strength Aspirin first....and if that doesn't do much, try the Dilaudid.

It should be noted that many kids have become addicted from using their parents Narcotics. Kids are not stupid.....keep this medicine where they can not have access to it, and for Heavens sake, don't think, "Not My Child"

Dilaudid is an opioid and an analgesic. When a person takes this and is drug tested it will show up as an opiate.

First of all if you don't know how to spell urine, don't be messing with Dilaudid. 12mg is A LOT of narcotic. So if you weren't given this by a professional licensed provider, STOP BEFORE YOU OVERDOSE! If you were given it in a medical setting, and you have to take a drug screen the doctor can account for you having it in your system. Hope this helps and I hope your concern is of the latter.

Now you have to factor in how it was administered. If it is IV or snorted than this formula will be very accurate, if it was orally, in general as with all drugs, factor in more time to be safe, as oral administration of drugs results in longer detection times.

well as a good comparison, I just shot 4-of the 2mg dilaudids and it is comparable to shotting a 60 or 80mg Morphine. Trust me on this one I normally shoot morphine 60mg but i couldn't find any so then i looked around and found some dilaudids instead and i would definitely say 7-8mg of dilaudids is very comparable to a 60 mg morphine. dilaudids are approximately 7.5 times stronger in mg comparison so 7.5 mg of morphine is about 1 mg of dilaudids.

CORRECTION: There is NO codeine in Dilaudid, both are opiates, but Dilaudid is hydromorphone, while codeine is, well codeine. Dilaudid is a fully synthetic opiate, while codeine is a naturally occuring opiate from the Poppy plant.

Demerol is very strong but it is better used for short-term pain relief. Vicodin is supposed to be for long-term pain relief like every 6 hours or so. If you want instantaneous pain relief, go for Demerol. If you want Vicodin, it might take an hour or so to kick in, which really sucks sometimes

These are to differenet medications and cannot really be equalled out in milligrams. 2 milligrams of dilaudid is eaual to 16 milligrams of Moorphine, 5 milligrams of dilaudid is equal to the strength of 40 milligrams of Morphine. VERY stong medication, and much stronger then percocet.
