BECAUSE YOU TOUCH YOURSELF AT NIGHT! Dinosaurs roamed the Earth for about 160 million years.
Then about 65 million years ago they vanished. No-one really knows why.
Some scientist think that a huge meteor hit the Earth and started volcanic
eruptions - the dust and ash would have blotted out the Sun for years.
Or perhaps the Earth's climate grew much colder and the cold-blooded dinosaurs
could not stand the cold as well as the warmblooded mammals that had begun
to live on Earth.
Many people actually believe that A large flood killed all of the dinosaurs, A large earthquake caused the crater that engulfed the dinosaurs, or A large volcanic eruption resulted in global climate change., but no. it was actually that of A large asteroid strike resulted in a massive explosion that altered plant life. It created an explosion so big that it basicly wipes out the entire species of dinosours!
What ended the Jurassic time period?
The end of the Jurassic period was marked by a mass extinction event that wiped out a significant portion of species, including some dinosaurs. This event was likely caused by a combination of volcanic activity, climate change, and possibly an asteroid impact.
During which period did the dinosaur disappear from the earth?
Well, their whole period of existence was called the MESOZOIC period. The earliest dinosaurs such as Coelophysis, a predator, appeared in the sub-period called the TRIASSIC, from around 225 million BC to 190 million BC. By the way, Coelophysis was from the late Triassic. Then in the JURASSIC period (210 million BC to 140 million BC as they overlapped slightly), probably the best well known period from the movie 'Jurassic Park' (which in fact most of the dinosaurs in it came from the next period), then (again the late Jurassic) sauropods, like Brachiosaurus (you might know it as Brontosaurus, because it was discovered later and named again but the scientific name is Brachiosaurus) were widespread, so the Jurassic is sometimes known as 'the age of the giants'. Next came the CRETACEOUS period, from 135 million BC until 65 million BC, when all the well known dinosaurs existed, such as T. Rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops, Stegosaurus ETC. Now most of the sauropods had died out, except from the titanosaurians, the really big dinosaurs - like Argentinosaurus, one of the largest animals to ever walk this planet. But then in something known as the CRETACEOUS-TERTIARY event, then the dinosaurs became extinct, from known paleontological evidence as quite suddenly. So what happened? No-one knows. And we may never know. But we have some quite good theories, such as perhaps a meteorite, a huge one, around the size of 10km. Then perhaps another comet arrived, to tip the dinosaurs over the edge into extinction. But how would this affect the dinosaurs? Well there is a theory that the impact created a huge amount of dust, enough to block out the sunlight from the Earth. This would then kill plants, killing herbivores, killing carnivores. And the only thing to survive it were some of the smallest things on the planet, the things that could hide in tiny holes to avoid the dust... the mammals. It was the start of a new age... the TERTIARY age, which we are still in now.
What were the persific times of the dinosaurs?
Surely you mean "specific".
"Persific" is not a word...
Which dinosaurs live in water?
No dinosaurs lived in water. The prehistoric reptiles that lived in water were the Plesiosaurs, not dinosaurs.
Did dinosaurs ever live in Madagascar?
Yes dinosaur did live in Madagascar. Like in 1998 a team of researchers excavate and identify a vast trove of ancient bones that were being unearthed in northwestern Madagascar. They found a skeleton of a young dinosaur that lived about 70 million years ago, when the last of the giant dinosaurs were at the height of their development. They found lots more.
Hope this short answer helped xD
How many teeth are in a dinosaur?
'Dinosaur' is a generic family name for a very large number of species. Some dinosaurs had no teeth at all, or a small number of teeth that were fused into beak-like structures; other dinosaurs had many teeth. The mouth structure of any animal depends on (among other things) the kind of food it evolved to eat, so different animals will all show different tooth characteristics.
What are egg shells made out of?
The main ingredient in eggshells is calcium carbonate (the same brittle white stuff that chalk, limestone, cave stalactites, sea shells, coral, and pearls are made of). The shell itself is about 95% CaCO3 (which is also the main ingredient in sea shells). The remaining 5% includes calcium phosphate and magnesium carbonate and soluble and insoluble proteins.
What Dinosaur looked like a rhino?
The Triceratops is a herbivorous animal dinosaur that existed during the Cretaceous period. One of its most distinctive features is the shape of its skull which includes a horn at the front of its face, similar to a rhino.
What is the theme of Ziggy and the black dinosaurs?

Why are no dinosaurs on earth?
To keep its line going, every creature needs a niche, a part of the environment that allows it to obtain food, protect it from becoming food, and successfully raise its young (this may or may not involve it actually parenting them). Some animals are good are finding niches, such as people -- and cockroaches. They can live anywhere (or almost), eat all sorts of stuff and have good strategies for producing offspring. Others have precarious niches, like the great panda and the koala. They have special food sources and if anything happens to those, they're in big trouble. Dinosaurs had a whole planet, but its ecosystem was very interwoven; when part of it was severely damaged, other parts began to fail, rather like mountain climbers tied together and all falling when one of them does. Whatever happened (most folks think a collision with an asteroid or comet), it damaged so much most dinosaurs couldn't recover from it. Apart from birds.
What dinosaurs is the smartest?
Based on brain-to-body-mass, Saurnothiodes and Troodon were probably at the head of the class. In general, all the small raptors had generous skull space. Since these were the probable ancestors of avians, it gives a new meaning to the term, "bird brain."
What kingdom do Archaeopteryx belong to?
Archaeopteryx, the earliest and most primitive bird known, belongs to the Animalia Kingdom.
How many dinosaurs are there approx?
Technically Dinosaurs are extinct but there may be some evidence that a lizard might be a dinosaur.
How did the triassic-jurassic extinction event create diversification in dinosaurs?
The Triassic-Jurassic extinction event wiped out many existing species, allowing dinosaurs to fill the ecological niches left vacant. This sudden increase in available resources and habitats may have fostered the diversification of dinosaurs as they adapted to exploit new opportunities. The event likely acted as a catalyst for evolutionary innovation and rapid speciation within the dinosaur group.
Who is the strange man in the desert in fossil fighters?
His name is Laurence and he tells you that the dig site is too hot for sonar to work.
After talking to him, buy an oasis seed. Give it to him and wait a while for it to grow into an oasis.
You have to do this 4 times.
Are there land flying water dinosaurs?
Birds technically are a subgroup within dinosaurs. Seabirds spend time in the air, on land, and on or in the water. So the answer is yes.
How many years did the dinosaurs live before extinction?
Dinosaurs died around 65 million years ago. Although, the first real dinosaur is about 235-240 million years old. It is hard to give an exact date since they are simply rocks.
