I like them..

I had Comcast for about 5 years and decided to switch to DirecTV about a year and a half ago.. I absolutely love it! DTV has the priced locked in while Comcast only has the "6 month promotion" and then the price goes up..plus you get better quality and more channels.. You also have the refer a friend option using directv where you can save $100 in bill credits ($10 a month)

I really do enjoy it!

There is no community channel on direct tv

A couple of companies that provide satellite direct tv in the USA are the Dish Network and DIRECTV. Other smaller companies offer similar services but these are the most established companies in the USA.

Generaly speaking there is no repair needed some remotes just will not work with older or newer machines.

The Yankees-Tigers playoff game on October 6, 2011 was on channel 247 (TBS).

I could be wrong but I think it is the the woman who played Columbia in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It looks like her and has a high, squeaky voice like she did. The actress is named KRISTEN SWANSON, if you want to see her in nearly all her glory, check her out on u-tube,in a short two part movie,called "tamed" OH MOMMA. The actress is Angee Hughes, who played the next door neighbor to Wishbone the dog on the PBS series "Wishbone".

It is a spot in space about 22,000 miles away that the satellite will orbit the earth once a day, so it is moving the same speed as the earth rotates and appears to never move. If your dish network satellite was not in geosynchrous orbit, you would need a device to turn your dish and there would be periods that the satellite would be over a different part of the world, like the sun and moon. They would slip over the horizon and you wouldn't be able to watch TV for a while.

Absolutely! Its what I currently have set up (Xfinity for internet and DirecTV for TV). You would just get a bill from each!
