A suitable filter is Purolator Classic L36135. The drain plug is 13 mm and found under the van passenger side. The filter is under the hood passengers side near a large air hose. The nut to remove the air hose is 5/16" the nut to remove the filter cap is 24 mm. Remove 13 mm drain plug, remove fresh oil fill cap, for venting. Pull off small air hose from air box then loosen 5/16 hose clamp on large air hose, and move that hose out of the way of the filter canister. Remove 24 mm filter cap. exchange new for old filter, also there s/b a new O ring with the filter this goes on the fill cap. Put it all back together, don't forget the drain plug, and fill with 6 quarts. Run it a minute to make sure all is right, and note that the CHANGE OIL INDICATOR has become active.. Then rest CHANGE OIL INDICATOR by 1. Key to "ON" position but not through start. 2. Slowly press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times but within 10 seconds. 3. Turn key "OFF". 4. Start van to verify the reset took place, if not try again. Jellybean 20121024

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire

Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

the maintance manual tells you to adjust the bands each time you change the transmission filter, but does not tell you how. the bands should be on inside of pan.

depending on the year there are fuse boxes in different places but it is more than likely above the brake pedal behind the panal below the steering wheel this fuse box has many different fuses you just have to test each one or look in the trucks manuel.

Code p0234 means turbo overboost, my truck just started doing this tonight and I'm doing research to try and figure it out. I found already that p0234 has to do with the wastegate. I found mechanical wastegate failure. I'm not sure what that means but I'm doing more research, ill post again when i find out more

Depending on driveline options, & amenities, the curb weight can be anywhere between 2,825 - 3658 pounds. You should be able to find the weight of your truck on the ID tag on the driver's side door post. If it is missing, you can look for the build sheet, (Not likely to find it, but, it is worth a shot), under the carpet, under the driver's seat. The easiest way to find out is to go to your local farm feed supply store & ask them to weigh it; they will charge you a few dollars. Or you can go to the local dump, (Transfer station), and ask them for a print out of your scale weight.

Jack up the vehicle support on jack stands. remove the starter. Then support the engine with a jack under the trans with a wood block. Remove the front engine mount. Then remove the 2 engine to trans brackets. Then remove the torque converter cover and then remove the oil pan. Replace gasket and install is reverse.
