Does a female dogs breast get bigger once she gets her period?
Dogs do not have periods. When a bitch goes into heat her teats may become enlarged.
Do dogs swell up when going into heat?
Usually, yes. This is an act called "tying". This occurs because blood flows to a tissue found near the center of the males appendage. While it can be rather painful for both parties involved, you should never try forcefullyseparatingtwo dogs once they've tied as it can seriously injure the dogs. Tieing usually lasts anywhere from 10 minutes to a full hour. If the male or female panics and tries to rip themselves apart, you need to see if you can calm them down by sitting and talking to them quietly. It really depends on the specific bulldog. Some bulldogs do drool quite a bit while others hardly ever. Bulldogs are not quite as bad when it comes to drooling as, perhaps, the mastiff breeds but they still do drool occasionally.

Hi there, I own an American Staffordshire Terrier, very powerful dog including the jaw. My best friend owns a boxer and we had this exact discussion between ourselves about 2 years ago. We exhausted every avenue of "lock-jaw". Read every thing we could find about lock jaw and asked numerous Vets. They all had the same answer......No dog on this earth has "lock-jaw". The only case of a dog having lock-jaw was a dog with tetanus lock-jaw, it is very rare that a dog gets this type of disease , that is the only type of lock-jaw a dog may get. It's a medical condition , nothing to do with the actual "lock-jaw" I hope this answered your question...there is no such thing as a dog with "lock-jaw". Its a myth. you can buy a spray at at petsmart that tastes bitter to dogs. spray it on anything you dont want them to chew on and when they start to chew it the taste will repel them. and it wont make them sick or anything.

Maybe they have too big of a space to be in. So they don't have to lay in their urine. You should try putting them into a smaller place. Maybe try a small burrow bed.

My dog has the same problem; It could be a variety of things:
-he could have hip displasia and it might hurt to squat
-he could have a spinal disk problem, in which case he might not be able to feel his legs or tail (to move it to go to the bathroom)
-he might have arthritis
My dog has all of these issues and I suggest making the dog soak in water, and then taking him to the vet. He may simply have problems with the muscles in his anus.
