Why do male dogs have nipples?
All female dogs have nipples. Usually about 6 or 8. Although it does vary and can even be odd number. They aren't always obvious until they have had a season. Then they are usually more prominent.
There are sometimes a couple on the chest area that aren't very visible. All of them have them though. People who claim to have females with no nipples just can't see them as they have had them spayed before their first season.
Why does your dog smell like maggots?
Maggots don't have any particular smell so I assume that you are asking why does your dog smell of rotted meat, which is what maggots tend to live on? If you dog does smell like this take him or her to see a qualified veterinary surgeon to find out what the problem is, as soon as you can. Don't waste your time and your dogs time asking unqualified people on a website.
How do you remove chewing gum from a dogs paw or pads?
Are you serious? How would you treat your hands if your skin came off? Your dog obviously has a reason for chewing on it's feet in the first place. Put some neosporin on it's feet and bandage them up, and then put your dog in the car, and take him to the vet.
Can you go to Cesar millans dog psychology center?

How do you keep your dog from chewing on your new deck?
You can either treat or prevent the chewing problem of your dog. To treat the chewing problem, here's one way: * If you catch her chewing something she shouldn't, interrupt her with a firm "uh-uh!" and take the object away. Immediately replace it with an appropriate toy and praise her as soon as she begins chewing on it. To prevent the chewing problem, here's one way: * Set her up for success. If you've got a sock chewer, don't leave any around the house. She doesn't know the difference between those expensive ski socks you bought last night and the faded pair with holes that your kids have outgrown. Why would a dog develop a sudden fear of loud noises?
It may be to do with their time as a Puppy, when things make an impression on them. For instance, my Dog was bought froma farm, where the farmer wasn't very kind to the pups. Now, my dog is 7 years old, but still wary of old men, with beards, due to the farmer.
Either somethin along those lines, or it is just a nervous dog.
Why does a male dog pee on a female dog?
she might be in heat or something its not a problem. I have never heard of that before. Check with a vet or another animal specialist. If I had to take a guess, the male might be interested in mating, but truly I do not know for sure.
Like human babys, puppies have small bladders. Approx., 10 - 20 minutes after a dog has had water or eaten they will need to go to the bathroom. They will make the odd mistake. Just shake your finger at them (don't hit them) and soak up some of urine on a piece of newspaper or, take a little of the poop and put it on the paper. Take the puppy to the paper and put the pup on it and say, "Good boy/girl." It doesn't take long if you are on top of it. I have a 3 year old Bichon Frise' and just got a terrier cockapoo X 4 months ago. All my puppies have been trained on the paper and also outside. I leave a paper in the hallway during the day and especially at night, because just like people, sometimes mother nature calls at the most inopportune times. LOL Good luck Marcy
Why do dogs howl when their owners are gone?
Separation anxiety. Dogs get extremely attached to their human families and feel lonely and anxious when the family is gone.
Can dogs really understand humans?
Yes they do. Dogs can interpret our moods and emotions by smell and facial expressions. They can also be trained to react to certain word sounds such as their name, ride, biscuit, sit etc. They can only understand the words in the human language that they have been trained to. If you have a conversation with your dog about how your day went they are not going to know what you're talking about. They will be able to tell if you are happy or upset.
Can giving worm medicine hurt a dog if the dog does not have worms?
for what kind of worms? tape?no it does not hurt the dog..unless its heartworms...if you suspect your dog has heartworms DONOT give him the heartworm medication instead immediately schedule an appt with your vet
A DifferentOf COURSE it causes harm. Wormer is poison. Wormer can hurt your dog even if he has worms, so it can certainly do damage to a dog who is healthy. A good natural wormer comes in the form of white pumpkin seeds. Dried and crushed, give your dog a tablespoon full (or so) a day for one week... it's usually more than enough to see solid results.yes it is hard and this may take a while. if you watch Cesar millan it may help,it did for me. first you might wanna get the dog calm, taking it for a walk can help. when you are doing the trainning be calm, very calm and don't yell loud at the dog if it doesnt listen. take the leash and make the dog be by our side, pull on the leash up and say shhh stay and then walk away. when you say shh say it fast and stern. and don't pull on the leash hard, just enough so it will get it attention. so repeat the process again. say shh stay, drop the leash and walk away.don't make eye contact when you walk away. there is a different way that may be better for some dogs,so it goes like this. you bring the dog by your side, make it sit, pull the leash up,do shhhh stay, make sure the dog looks at you also. then put your hand up in the stop way and walk away. if it comes to you take it back to the spot and do it again. this helped for me,i did that and walked away, when my dog listened i made it harder. i jogged around, made weird noises without looking at him, clapped, and sat down. sitting down made him come but i did the process over again and he learned to stay! finally! hope this helped. sory its long though!
I would invest in a bark collar. These collars emit a smell, noise, or shock that startles the animal. These do not hurt the animal in any way, but they are annoying. When a dog barks, they are immediately emitted so the dog will learn soon the barking is bad.
What is wrong if your dog is gagging like they are going to throw up but does not?
I'm sorry that I can't answer all of your question but the not throw-uping part is normal, it usually means that he thought he needed to throw-up. It is a lot like us coughing when something goes down the wrong way. The breathing rapidly? I would think that he's just trying to get his breath back. Or it is just because he IS a puppy. It could be too, if your puppy has been playing and running it's throat became dry and needs a drink of water. Mine does that too.
How was the Alaskan Malamute chosen?
The Alaskan Malamute (sometimes Malemute) is a powerful and intelligent dog of the spitz type that will not suit everyone, because they need a lot of excercise to remain healthy, and have retained their "survivor's independent temperament". These highly-valued sled dogs were bred to be used as the only form of transportation by the Inupiaq Mahlemut (or Malimiut) tribe of Eskimos in Western Alaska. In short, freighting.

What can you do to calm your dog down on a ride in the car?
With all my dogs I have introduced them to my car and my husband's truck when they were puppies. Sounds like you have an adult dog. It takes patience to get them use to the car and this is what you do: Take the pet in your car (short trip) and then drive a mile or so and take the dog for a walk and play with it by throwing a stick or ball. Make it "fun time." Do this for two weeks. This way your dog will probably beat you to the car and feel it's going for a walk. Always carry a plastic container of water in the car so your dog can have a drink after the walk/playing. Be sure NEVER to leave your dog in the car for even 5 minutes if the weather is muggy or hot out because their normal temperature range is approx. 102 degrees. It only takes seconds for your dog to get over-heated (even if you leave the windows partially down) to die from heat stroke and it's a horrible way to die. I thought I would mention this simply because you aren't use to taking your dog in your car. It's a good idea to (if the day is cool or in the evening when it's not hot) to take the dog in the car with you if you are only going to be out for a short time such as popping in to do a little grocery shopping. Remember, dogs are smart, so by getting the dog in the car and they know at the end of the ride it's "fun time" you should get your dog over it's nervousness. I agree with everything the top person said but I have some very important tips to give you if your dog is restless and is very hyper and maybe can't control himself. # Never, ever pet the dog when it is in a nervous state of mind ,because if the dog is nervous and the tail is going back and forth really, really fast he's probably very nervous and if you pet him that's just saying go ahead you're doing exactly what I want you to do.When he's not doing what you want. # If the dog needs to go to the bathroom, take him for a walk, of course you already know that, but when he's on the walk that's the time to give him positive reinforcement and always remember to be the pack leader! Good luck!
Why do dogs like to bury bones?
Also, You may think that they forget about their bones or even treats, but, if the dog remains well fed, or doesn't get hungry easily, he/she will not need to recover the bone. The same goes with treats, except the treat will decompose and the dog will not recover it because it is no longer fit for nutrition. Dogs have very keen senses and can tell when food is spoiled. But sometimes if they are hungry enough, they will eat it.
For a more elaborated story see the link below.
yes. Mine lived with a female cat and his kittens. One day a big cat from I dont know where entered our garage and started abusing the kiitens. The dog took care of him. When my cat had kittens I saw my dog putting his head into the basket and I thought he was helping cleaning the kittens. When I looked closer the dog was gently sucking milk out of the mother cat. lol.
Why would your dog dig before he died?
Sometimes they dig a shallow nest because it is cool and comfortable to lie in, especially if they have a fever. Sometimes they try to find a place to hide when they know they are ill (as a protection from predators).
It depends on the dog. All dogs have different personalities, just like people. Some dogs will be playful, others will be lazy, and some may be grumpy. It really just depends. If you want a playful cockapoo then spend some time at the breeders house to make sure that he/she is just what you want.
Can dog get sick from eating her own poop?
Based on my personal observations over more than 50 years, it is my conclusion that the answer is NO, but ask your vet the next time you make contact. I have observed this phenomenon in my own dogs and those of neighbor and friends, and it appears there is NO negative impact on a dogs health. Oh yes, the old "snack bar!"
Generally, it won't cause death. My dogs use to do this and I had to train them not too. When I caught them (they would always have kitty litter on their nose) they were shamed and eventually it broke them of the habit. I also use a "pooper scooper" every single day to clean out the kitty litter box. I have never found a vet that could answer the question as to why some dogs will eat the feces of another dog or cat. My guess is it goes back to when they were wild.
Answer
Same here. It seems all my dogs love "Krispy Treats" as I call them. For some reason they especially love the ones coated with litter from the litter box! ( add's crunch?? LOL) I don't know why they do it, I just know it's a nasty habit that's hard to break but it certainly won't hurt them. If it did, all my dogs would be dead by their 1st birthday!
What country do pomeranians come from?
The Pomeranian breed comes from Central Europe. The breed is descended from larger spitz dogs, specifically the German spitz.
Only if you put enough on the lice to drown them. Lysol is a disinfectant not a pesticide
