That would be a tapeworm. They shed their segments which are full of eggs. These little segments look like little grains of rice in the dogs' stools. Roundworms look like spaghetti. It is best to take in a sample of your dog's stool to be checked by your Veterinarian for parasites.

Sory, the above is not correct. It will depend on the medicine. There are SOME human meds that are fine for dogs, others are not. People eat chocolate and raisins, but those can kill a dog. Dogs and people are different.

When cooked, Water Chestnuts are fine. They act as ruffage and do not digest at all, therefore, chopped up or minced is better than sliced disks (as found in most cans).

At the end of the day, I'd recommend to just stay away from them. If you want to give your dog ruffage, give them carrots. Our 2 Yorkies and 2 Maltese like carrots as treats.

Do not ever let your dog eat horse chestnuts (these are the ones that grow inside of a pod that looks similar to an orange... not the ones that grow in a small pod with spikes on the outside (roasting chestnuts). Horse chestnuts are straight up poisonous. They cause a drastic reduction in red blood cells. I do not know whether roasting chestnuts are bad for dogs.

There is a variety of dog medication available online that both prevent heartworm disease and flea and tick infestation. However, if you're asking about the medicine prescribed to dogs already diagnosed with the disease, I don't believe that was formulated for tick and flea prevention.

In the end, it all boils down to "ask your vet first". Dosage is very important especially when it comes to heartworm meds so this is your best bet. I'm sure your pet's life is not something you'd take chances on.

I would Recommend to start a dog walking business at the age 12 plus, if your able to walk dog's with parents or guardians approval.

You can help a dog with a broken pelvis by calling 911 or your local veterinarian and take it to the hospital so that the dog can get a cast, and maybe some special treatment. You should get the dog to the hospital on time or else the dog might not recover soon enough or well.

Dog foods labeled as 'complete and balanced' must meet standards established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) either by meeting a nutrient profile or by passing a feeding trial. ALSO, remember that the majority of a dogs development and growth occurs within the first year. During this time a good quality dog food specifically made for puppies is generally considered best.
