What does it mean when your teacher says your their favourite?

well, it just really means that you really ARE her favorite! you may be smart, amusing, diligent, easy to teach, cooperative, or participative. you know teaching is a very hard job. teachers work even during their free time and even when theyre home. it's nice to have students who make their job much easier, or at least make them realize that their efforts dont go to waste. anyways, teachers often have many favorites (not just one!) and to be honest, even the obnoxious ones can also be their favorites. in fact, teachers remember most those who made them smile and especially those who gave them real headache.

another meaning to that is what teachers dont usually say: "..and im telling you that hoping you will always remember what a good student (--or person, if youre obnoxious!) you really are. i see your strengths (or potentials). i hope what i said will encourage you more to be your best... and i hope you shine more (--or study more, if youre the lazy type) in my subject! ;-p "

ok, hope that helps!

What classes does a middle school teacher with political science degree teach?

Depends on the state and the teaching credential that you have. I am in CA and hold a K-12 credential so I can teach all of those grades and did teach middle school history. In CA there are 3 types of history in the middle school subject framework/standards. For 6th grade the history is ancient civilizations, 7th history is middle ages and Renaissance, and 8th is US history/government up to the civil war. So, most likely, depending on the school/district state you could teach all three or one type of history for 7 periods in one grade level. Again, it depends on your state requirements and how the Social studies framework is written/set up for your state. Contact your state education department or a college to get full details on what you need and what you may be able to teach.

Teachers can care about a students well being. Love is a strong emotion for a teacher to have with a student. If your talking elem or high school, that is something that never should be done. A teacher is a mentor, a person to whom children look to as a role model. To overstep that boudary because of the authority of teacher has is a something that should not be done.Your question does not give much informantion. Affection for someone can come in many forms but this relationship is one that belongs having boundarys.

Answer

The above answer is absolutely correct. Teachers have a responsibility of educating the students and it should be done on a professional level. Caring for the students is one thing (which I think is admirable), but having a deep love for the student where a relationship can evolve is something else. We've all seen the results of the Mary Kay Letourneaus' and Debra Lafave's. Most all public schools have strict policies concerning this type of behavior.

What do you do when your teacher marks by favoritism?

I absolutely hate favoritism, If it's in the case where the teacher is treating you less nicely than the other students due to a poor/rude attitude from the student than that is not the students fault. If in contrast, the student works hard, yet is significantly treated unfairly compared to the favorited student, then tell a parent or guardian, they can take matters into their own hands. If it affects your grade, then you should speak to the teacher with your parent along your side, if that doesn't work then speak to someone in greater control (such as the principal or guidance counselor)
