There are over 200 different subspecies of moray eel.

The eels main adaptation is its intelligence. Some science types have postulated that with the correct training eels could be taught to find drowned people or even sunken submarines, boats and treasure.

The electric eel frequently emits low voltage pulses for navigational purposes and to communicate. When using it in defense or when hunting they are capable of shocks of up to 600v.

The giant moray eel (Gymnothorax javanicus), the largest of the moray eel species, is found in numerous places around the world. Giant moray eels are found in tropical and temperate seas across the Indo-Pacific region, from the Red Sea and East Africa, to the Pitcairn group, north to the Ryukyu and Hawaiian islands, and south to Polynesia. They are more likely to be found in shallower waters such as lagoons, reefs and estuarine areas, although there is little to suggest they do not inhabit deeper waters. They are found in tropical and temperate seas.

The moray Eel eats mostly mosses and bacteria just like the chipped-shark, they are bod em feeders at the bottom of the ocean. It also likes to eat shrimp, bactiria, and other more small crasher's. They usually eat slower fish and shrimp because they have bad eye sight well the moray eats fish octopus crabs and shrimp, but its favorite meal is the octopus, a big juicy one. the octopus ties itself in a knot, but it doesn't help, the moray pulls the suckers from its skin. Eventually the moray wins and eats the tentacles and the octopus is gradually eaten alive.

Moray eels' heads are too narrow to create the negative pressure that most fish use to swallow prey. Quite possibly because of this, they have a second set of jaws in their throat called pharyngeal jaws, which also possess teeth. When feeding, morays launch these jaws into the mouth, where they grasp prey and transport it into the throat and digestive system. Moray eels are the only animal that uses pharyngeal jaws to actively capture and restrain prey. Larger morays are capable of seriously wounding humans.

First of all, despite its name the electric eel is not an eel but rather a knife fish.It is the only living species of the genus Electrophorus family, therefore making it one among the endangered species.

Yes Seahorses and Eels are fish. Seahorses belong to the class of Actinopterygii, or Ray Finned Fish. Eels, there are dozens upon dozens of fish that get called "Eel", from Moray Eels to Electric Eels to Spiny Eels. They are all fish.

Eels are in a different scientific profile, also all eels live in water whilst not many snakes can survive under water for there hole life. Eels are just one colour, snakes can be any colour. Ect.

Fred Farrow of Hanmer Springs in New Zealand speared a giant eel in the Clarence River in 1926. This long finned eel weighed in at 98 1/2 pounds. I think they may get even larger as Fred swore he saw a bigger one near the same spot that swallowed a half grown sheep.

Please don't quote me on this but i think you have to fish at rocket reef to get the electric eel. You should just keep trying to get this fish- i tried myself and didn't succeed very quickly at all! Also, with the robofish that is just a little easier to get than the electric eels but you have to find them in one of the first scrolls on rocket reef aswell as the Eel.

They live in the fresh water of the Amazon and the Orinoco Basin in South America.
