Elvis was born approximately 11 minutes after his identical twin brother, Jessie Garon Presley, who was "stillborn" (i.e. dead).

His mother was so worried he would be hurt, and/or killed, that she allowed him to sleep around him where she could keep an eye on him.

I have always thought she was the daughter of Elvis and thought i was the only one until I came online to check around. There are a lot of us!

What really surprised me is when i was watching Oprah and wynonna and her mother were on. I couldn't believe my ears when her mother said that Wynonna's father was a backup singer for...wait for it...ELVIS!

I had the privilege of seeing him perform when he was a young rock and roller, in the mid-1950s. He was dynamic and exciting to watch, plus for a teen female fan like me, he was really cute. It was the early days of rock, and Elvis was the first really big rock star-- young people adored him, while parents thought he was going to ruin society (the way he moved his body to the music while he was singing was very sexual, and many adults considered it immoral). As the years passed, he aged and he gained weight, plus he was taking various kinds of drugs. Later in his career, he transformed himself into sort of a glitzy Las Vegas style entertainer, which was a very different presentation from the youthful rock star he was in his youth. But even in his later years, when he was overweight and somewhat slower on stage, he enjoyed touring, he still put on a dynamic performance, and fans still loved his music.

Elvis Presley was buried in the Forest Hill Cemetary, but when someone tried to steal his remains, he was moved to the meditation garden in Memphis, at graceland.

Been told by a very reliable source.. he hasn't been at GL for a long time.. his remains are buried at a hidden secret location. Only the Memphis Mafia & Priscilla know.

I'd tend to agree the Beatles, because their impact was wider (and slightly earlier) and because they popularised the new production techniques of the later 1960s. The early Stones however had arguably a greater impact on "alternative" rock through their influence on the emerging US garage scene which in turn fed into 1970s punk and some of its offspring, feeding into later stripped-down underground "edgy", "angular" sounds and the rebel attitudes that often accompany them.

The only real conclusion his career had was his death on August 16, 1977. After becoming famous at around age 20 the only break from the stage and screen came when he was drafted into the army around 1959. But after that he was back in the movies and on stage singing. He actually had a tour scheduled to begin August 17, one day after he was found dead.
