What is the feminist criticism in Cinderella?
A lot of people note that the Disney version of Cinderella, at least, is unfeminist because Cinderella is a passive entity in the execution of her own fate. Take away the mice and fairy godmother, and you'll notice that Cinderella does just about nothing to improve her situation, and executes exactly none of the critical actions of the film. She wishes for something, and others give it to her.
For example, lets take a look at those critical turning points in the film. You'll notice that the mice design her dress for her. Her godmother gives her a carriage and a new dress when her sisters destroy the first. The mice let her out of her room when her stepmother locks her away, and the prince whisks her away from her place of servitude. Cinderella herself, meanwhile, does little more than lament her situation and wish for someone to rescue her.
Princesses from the Disney canon that are seen as more feminist (though interpretations vary on just how feminist they really are) are those that exercise agency. In Beauty and the Beast, for instance, Belle's life is shaped by her own decisions--to take her father's place in the beast's castle, to go where she is forbidden to go, to leave the beast's castle and to return as she sees fit. Jasmine is another example: though Aladdin is ultimately the one who saves the day, the difference is that Jasmine executes many critical actions on her own.
One last, even more modern example is Disney's version of Rapunzel. Contrast the actions of Cinderella with those in the Rapunzel clip linked below, and see which appears to be more feminist.

What is the opposite of a feminist?
anti-feminism
The question asked can be confusing to answer as it can contain various different answers. Technically speaking anti-feminists appose the feminist movement arguing it can cause damage to society. However if the question you were asking is referring to the existence of a male alternative to feminism then the term Masculism applies which is a group of people who campain for men's rights, such as the rights to equal opportunities within parenthood i.e. Fathers for Justice. It must be remembered though that Masculism does not have the same size and political power as Feminism and therefore does not compare well as an opposite.
What is the purpose of feminism?
The goals of feminism ARE to get women equal rights under the law and equal stature in society. Feminism is an ongoing movement.
Additional thoughts:
Whilst that is all correct. It has grow to be about equality for both genders as well. So eradicating gender stereotypes so it is in men good interests as well. You see men have a lot of responsibility if the women don't have rights. They are responsible for making a flow of income for the home. They are expected to be strong and do all the manual labour. If both genders are treated equally a lot of pressure is taken off men and women (in terms of raising children, cooking and cleaning) which in turn would create a more balanced society. There are so many misconceptions about feminism its actually funny so make sure you don't get into the whole "feminist are lesbians" or "feminist hate men" cause we don't. We just believe and strive for equality which in truth is really the goal for most societies right now.
Are feminists people who hate men?
No, feminists are not people who hate men.
Feminism is the movement seeking equality between the sexes, that means bringing women up to equal footing with men socially and economically but not by bringing men down. Feminism recognizes that the patriarchal society damages men too, so rather than hating men feminism actually fights for mens rights by tackling issues such as male rape and inequality in the family courts.
Absolutely, there are many feminist men in the world.
Any man who doesn't believe women should have equal rights is living in a delusional world. However this doesn't mean that anyone who supports equal rights is a "feminist". Feminism is a selfish belief that women should be given a special class above men in society.
Why were feminists of the 60's and 70's pro-choice and mainly democrats?
All feminists are pro-choice, this is the stance of someone who believes that women should have control over their own bodies - a person cannot be feminist if they believe that women's rights should be taken away by forcing them to continue with an unwanted pregnancy. As for being democrats, within America democrats represent the left and thus are liberal so believe in equality.

Why do women sexualize themselves so much?
It depends on what you mean by the term 'sexualize'.
Typically sexualisation refers to making something sexual in character or becoming aware of sexuality, women are sexual beings so of course they will be sexual in nature and embrace their sexuality in a culture where for so long female sexuality was oppressed. Women do not sexualize themselves any more than men do.
Does the US still need feminism?
Yes, the United States still needs feminism - if anything it needs feminism more than ever.
Feminism is a movement that is concerned with womens equality, currently there are many people seeking to strip women of their basic human rights within American society: for example denying women reproductive rights such as birth control access or abortion access, also within America there is a serious problem with harassment and rape of women.
Feminism is also intersectional, recognizing that women will not have true equality until all women are free from oppression, which means feminism has to tackle issues such as racism, transphobia, and homophobia - while police can still shoot black people like it's nothing, while trans women are still being murdered at an alarming rate, and while lesbian women can be denied the right to marriage...feminism is still needed.
How do you use Feminism to explain Negative concepts of health?
Feminism can be employed to explain negative concepts of health by highlighting how gender inequalities and societal norms disproportionately affect women's health outcomes. For instance, issues like reproductive health access, mental health stigma, and the impact of domestic violence are often exacerbated by patriarchal structures that marginalize women's voices and needs. Additionally, feminist perspectives emphasize the importance of intersectionality, revealing how factors such as race, class, and sexuality compound health disparities. By critiquing these systemic barriers, feminism advocates for a more equitable approach to health that addresses the root causes of negative health outcomes.
