Can you tell the sex of your baby by doing a litmus test on the mom like they did decades ago?

No, this isn't accurate. The best way to determine the sex of your baby is by having a ultrasound from 16 weeks.

What is feel the kick?

When a pregnant woman feels the fetus (baby) move inside her womb ("tummy") sometimes they are actually kicking or poking her while trying to reposition themselves. You can even sometimes see them move and push against her from the inside. If the mother doesn't mind and gives you permission, you can touch her abdomen when they are active and feels the kick for yourself.

Usually it is in the second trimester of pregnancy (around the fifth month) when the woman first starts to feel the movement and as things get more and more crowded as the baby grows, the mother will feel this as stronger "kicks".

Can you feel movement 8 weeks of pregnancy but the doctor say you may have a ectopic?

If it is your first baby you usually start feeling movements at around 20 weeks. Second and subsequent babies usually make their presence known around 16-17 weeks. Not because they kick earlier but because you have felt it before.

If a pregnant girl got kicked in the stomach and the baby died can that person go to jail?

In most states, assault on a pregnant female automatically raises the charge from assault to aggravated assault. If the baby actually died, depending on the circumstances, the charge may be upped to manslaughter. The victim should seek medical attention as soon as it happens. If emergency services were called, they would likely send the police in addition to the ambulance. The officers would assess the situation and initiate an investigation.

What does it feel like when the baby moves all ive felt so far being 20wks along is a twitch feeling?

That is what it feels like at 20 weeks with your first. Like Butterfly wings, or gas. As the baby gets bigger you will feel more obvious kickes, like a swimmer at the end of the pool. Then towards the end when there is not so much room you feel wriggles. fun isn't it?

You are thirty-eight weeks pregnant and your baby movement is not as strong as before why?

if you are worried it is best to get checked over by your health care provider. as long as there is still movement, the guideline is 10 movements in any 12 hours, it shouldn't be anything to worry about. the main reason for the shorter movements is that your baby is gradually running out of room unlike before when it had space to move around

Does pms and early pregnancy feel the same?

It can.... Both conditions have common symptoms: swollen breasts, enlarged stomach, increased discharge, fatigue and slight cramping. The best thing to do is get one of those cheap 2 stick pregnancy test kits, wait till you missed your cycle and take the test. If they come up neg and you still don't get your cycle a week or two later it might be a good idea to visit the gyno.

Should you be worried when you don't feel the baby kick after four hours?

no, especially if you are only in your 2nd trimester.

by the 3rd you should have a pretty good idea of the times when your baby is most active, and it is still perfectly normal not to feel him move for a few hours. although if you don't feel movement for more that 24 hours I would recommend you going to see your doctor, as it could be something wrong. it's not as big a deal in the 2nd trimester because you still don't feel Every movement baby makes so he could be moving and you might not be feeling it... try relaxing for an hour or so and pay close attention to your belly, rub or massage your belly or listen to some music to encourage him to wake up and move !

Haven't felt the baby move in 2 days is that normal?

This depends on how far along you are. If you are worried, contact your doctor. Try laying down on your left side. Babies are most active when you are not.

Is it normal feel less fetal movement at 36 weeks?

At 36 weeks, your baby has grown considerably and because there is less space in utero, it is more difficult for the baby to move. However, kick counts should be done on a regular and daily basis. If you feel like the baby has been moving less or not at all, contact your doctor immediately for consultation and advice. Many times they will monitor your baby's activity to make sure all is well. Most of the time everything is ok but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Why do embryos suck their thumbs in the womb?

Babies practice swallowing and sucking in the womb in preparation for entering the world so they can breastfeed. Sometimes it can cause them to get the hiccups inside your belly as well! :)

Say you are a few weeks pregnant can you feel mentally if you are pregnant or not?

I believe that many people can be psychic, even if they don´t normally think of themselves that way, and so would be able to feel that they are pregnant or not pregnant. Also, a friend of mine could always tell when someone was just a few weeks pregnant, because they looked different somehow.

How many months pregnant is 5 weeks?

a month and 1 week

A Month & a week
Roughly 1 month pregnant
Five weeks from conception or five weeks from lmp? If its five weeks from lmp you would be one month and one week. If you know you are exactly five weeks from conception you would be considered about 7 weeks because the doctors count from your lmp which would be about two weeks before you conceived. Either way - good luck.
