I've had bacterial infections twice. I've had a upper lung infection, and the company doctor heard my lungs and the bad wheezing I had but still refused to give me anti-biotics because I had no fever and he didn't give me a blood test. I had to visit my family doctor and he gave me anti-biotics on the spot.

Recently I had a bacterial throat infection and because I'm in a different country and they didn't have my medical history, I had to go to the hospital to get my blood work done and I had an elevated white cell count and a high level of bacteria in my bloodstream. Once again, no fever.

It really depends on a person. I do realize that once I'm infected with a strain I'm not used to, I have no fever and it doesn't clear up unless I get antibiotics.

you should have a warm bath and drink gingerale but no dairy products and avoid spagetti sauce cus it will make you puke and you should eat vegtable soup but only have a little bit at a time mabie a quarter to a half a bowl every couple hours and apple juice is good to drink but don't drink water cus it usaully makes you feel worse and take tylenyal/acetaminophen then 4 -6 hours later take ibuprofen/Motrin and altranate between tylanyal and Motrin and see waht works best

start by eating diluted vegetable juices or vegetable soups. In general, cooked foods are easier to digest than raw ones. Simple foods such as whole grains, steamed vegetables, soup and diluted juices are recommended for a few days after a fever . Eat very lightly .
