Microorganisms, including bacteria and parasites, can produce chemical poisons. Both the microorganism and the poisons cause the white blood cells (called monocytes) to produce substances called pyrogens. It's the pyrogens that actually cause fever. The word pancreatitis literally means inflammation or infection of the pancreas so your body's natural response to send those pyrogens after it thus causing fever.

Can infection on wisdom tooth cause fever?

yes, infected wisdom teeth can cause fever, headache, aspirin will help , antibotics will cure it temporarily, a dentist will cure it permanently. The back of your mouth, in the corners, is where the most pain will be. The "hinge" of your jaw will alsoWhe be quite painful. In my case, which began about a week 1/2 ago and got very excruciating in the past few days (had to go to dentist today for emergency), I noticed thay teeth were being pushed forward. Most notable were my two front teeth on top. My dentist gave me a rx of penicillin for the infection--all the signs were there--and I took some Tylenol in the mean time of getting that prescription filled, so I could bring down my fever. When I finally took the penicillin (2 pills for initial dose), I didn't really notice a thing until about 2 hours later. I'm telling you, my pain was reduced tenfold. The swelling went down a good 80%, my fever went away, and jaw stopped aching. The antibiodic responded very well to the infection. When the dentist prescribed me with this, he said it would really reduce the pain and swelling (he did not tell me it was infected, but it was obvious from the initial symptoms and response to the penicillion that it was. This is also what my dentist was implying when he gave me the prescription--my tooth/teeth were infected and would respond well to this antibiodic). He said that this was to help me last until 2 weeks from then, which was the date of my surgery. I was almost 100% certain that I would not last even half that long before I took the antibiodic, but CAN SEE JUST WHAT MY DOCTOR MEANT. However, the gums in the back are raised a little bit, so I can't see how I'm going to eat. I will have to talk to my orthal surgeon about an earlier appointment, but other than that PENICILLIIN WILL HELP A GREAT DEAL WITH AN INFRECTED WISDOM TOOTH, WHICH IS MOST LIKELY WHAT YOU HAVE.

It is a misunderstanding that most assume this refers to eating and/or drinking. In actuality this phrase concerns temperatures.

To 'Starve a Cold' means to get away from the most common cause of colds, cold weather, and stay warm. To 'Feed a Fever' you are trying to break the fever into a sweat, by getting warmer.

The correct term is "Starve a Cold, Feed a Fever" and it means the same thing in both cases, bundle up and stay warm.

Another take, based on known fact, is that temporarily avoiding food improves immune response. A fever is part of how the body fights infection. It is thought that loss of appetite is in this way part of the body's natural infection-fighting process. So the best advice is indeed to avoid eating temporarily when one has a fever and a loss of appetite. A cold in contrast typically has no fever, and appetite is not diminished.
