There are no more F-14's . However it takes immense training to be a pilot of a similar jet. You must be above average at math in general and preferably at mechanical engineering too. You must be super fit , have superb reflexes and "the killer instinct"

There were mark numbers from 1 to 24 with many variations, also about 8 marks of Seafire. Every mark had many variations so there was a large number of slightly different aircraft.

They created Spitfires specifically because the Royal Air Force put out a Specification in 1934 for an 8 gun fighter with retractable undercarriage and a speed of at least 275 mph. The Spitfire and the Hawker Hurricane were both results of this specification.

Most Spitfires were about 30 feet long and had 36 ft,10 inch wingspan, but there were many variations. In over 22 'marks' of Spitfire there were at least 4 different wings and 5-6 different fuselages.

The spitfire mk1a had 350 rounds for each of its 8 guns. This is about 35 seconds of fire

Final models of the F-4 could fly about 1,470 mph at altitude.

The Spitfire first flew in 1936 and over 20,000 were built by the end of production in 1947
