Where can one go to get same day dentures?
Dentures are not something you want to go real cheap on because you can cause yourself alot of pain if they are not quality dentures and not fitted properly. Look in your local phone book for denture places and or ask your dentist if they have any refferals. The denture places do have pay plans to fit every budget because they dont bite the hand that feeds them.. Good luck. ===ANOTHER ANSWER=== I DON'T KNOW the cheapest place to get them, but I firmly believe that word of mouth and personal referals are the best way to go. Ask people that you know and trust about their experiences. Compare prices from places that someone you know has had a good experience. Remember, "you get what you pay for". Since you will have these dentures in your mouth for the rest of your life, I wouldn't go by who has the cheapest ones. You can be frugal AND well informed. Do some research and talk to a lot of people before deciding. Hope this helps!
What holds false teeth to gums?
A tooth is primarily held in place by the periodontal ligament. The ligament runs the entire length of the tooth root surface and attaches to the bone of the jaw. The width of the ligament is typically less than a millimeter in width. There is a small amount of epithelial tissue (gum tissue) that covers the coronal (top) of the ligament and attaches to the tooth itself, but this attachment is not nearly as strong as the ligament.
In periodontal disease (gum disease) bacteria colonize in the small pocket between the tooth and gum. If it remains long enough, the bacteria cause the body to respond in an inflammatory reaction. The immune system produces enzymes that destroy the attachment and the bone surrounding the tooth. Eventually, the tooth no longer has enough attachment and support to withstand the forces of biting and chewing, and the tooth becomes loose and has to be removed.

Dentists won't lose their jobs because they use mercury amalgams. There has been study after study after study, that shows no diseases linked to amalgams. To say mercury is poisonous in all forms is akin to saying oxygen is poisonous, because when combined with carbon it can form carbon monoxide - therefore all oxygen is poisonous. And so far as re-mineralization is concerned - I'm sure Dr. Judd's research is accurate, but most cavities are formed in deep pits and fissures in tooth structure. Food particles get jammed down deep into crevasses so small that a tooth brush can't remove them. Eventually a cavity forms. This is how 90% of cavities form. Sealants, fluoride and proper hygiene and diet can control the vast majority of decay in this country.
Can you use super glue to fix a tooth from dentures?
Repairing your denture yourself is not recommended. Household glues are not strong enough to hold a broken denture together. Furthermore, the repair has to be in complete alignment with the occlusion of the opposing teeth. This should only be done by an experienced dental professional.

Itching gums are the result of inadequate oral hygiene, try brushing 3 times a day using the modified Bass technique, use dental floss before you brush, you should insert the floss between your teeth with a 45 degrees angle and move the floss against your teeth in a upward and downward, use listerine mouthwash. Itching also sometimes happens when woman have high hormonal surge and this causes an edema in their gum so the teeth and gum are harder to keep clean, hence there is an accumulation of food debris and bacterial products which cause irritation. Why do people need false teeth?
Usually it’s due to a combination of tooth decay, gum disease, fear, finances and neglect. Over time, the infections and pain become so severe that some people decide to have their teeth removed and replaced.
My father developed an infection around a wisdom tooth that caused him so much pain that he went to the dentist and insisted on having all his teeth removed and replaced with dentures, so that he would never experience that much pain again. That’s another reason.

Dentures need to be cleaned after meals, and especially at night when you are resting. To prevent any possibility of swallowing them, it might be best to remove them at night, or whenever you sleep normally.
Why can't porcelain veneers and crowns be bleached?
The brightness of a tooth is a function of how light is reflected off the enamel. Whitening agents work by dehydrating the enamel, that is, by removing moisture on a molecular level from within the enamel. This increases the amount of light that is reflected off the tooth, and therefore it makes them appear whiter. There is no indication at this time that this is harmful to the teeth in the long term, however, some people will experience an increase in temperature sensitivity when they whiten their teeth. Porcelain crowns and tooth-colored fillings do not bleach because the agents cannot remove moisture from them as they do with natural enamel. Over time, the moisture will return to the enamel, and the whitening process will have to be repeated to maintain the new whiteness of the teeth.
The best thing would be to have a filling put in the tooth. But if the tooth is going to fall out soon, the dentist may recommend pulling it instead. Have it looked at by a dentist and then do what you think is best.
Whatever you do don't pull it out yourself. See a dentist its not that bad, honestly..lol
Fill the ToothPulling a baby tooth too early can cause other teeth to move forward and cause misaligned teeth. It depends on the age of the child and which tooth it is. If the tooth is about to fall out, then pulling the tooth isn't a bad option. Some "baby teeth" stick around until age 11 or 12 or even 13 sometimes, so if it is a young child, pulling the wrong baby tooth could cause severe misalignment. You really need a dentist's opinion on this matter.
If this is an adult patient with a retained baby tooth, and the adult tooth never came in, well they should probably keep the tooth because there is no "replacement" on the way.
How long do you have to wait after a filling before you can eat?

Does any dental insurance cover implants?
More frequently than not, dental insurance per se is not an indemnity policy; in that sense it differs from a major medical policy in the way that it functions. Instead, it pays a fixed sum for stated services by a dentist who participates in its plan.
However, in situations where, for example, reconstructive surgery is medically necessary due to an occurrence, and implants are a part of the reconstruction, a major medical policy may pay for the implants. Naturally, any payment would be subject to the terms and conditions of the policy, including deductibles and copayments.
