In my personal experience there are several things to consider while fishing in the rough sea, The first is don't take anybody with you that get sea sick I spent 2 days cleaning up my yacht. second when the sea is rough as it often is then your better off using a longer stronger line and a heavier weight because the fish tend to shy away from the surface when they can't see above it. But if you use a longer line in rough watter the fishing is great 3 weeks ago went and caught a huge amount of fish maybe 2 dozen my neighbors all had fish for a week and us.

Tides play a crucial role in saltwater fishing. A couple of things you need to know is the times of high and low tides of course which can be found online by just googling tide chart for your area. The time of the high and low tides and 30 minutes after are usually slack tides and the dish don't usually bite. The tides are stronger closer to a full moon which means better fishing. It's usually 3 days before the full moon when it starts getting better. But you just need to make sure you know the time of high and low tide and do whatever you have to to make the bait look natural, if it is low tide in the process of high tide that means that the water is being pulled toward shore, so throw your bait towards offshore and make it look like its being pulled inshore because of the current.

All fishing licenses expire Sept. 30 even if you buy one on Sept. 29. Obey all the rules at the Ashokan Resevoir. The police are everywhere including helicopters and satelites. Really.

I do not know what the value is. I do have one and would also like to know it's worth. I'm guessing it is worth whatever we can get for it.
