"Silver Springs" was edited so that it could be included on the "Rumours" LP, but that idea was scrapped due to the fact that, although "Silver Springs" was edited from its original length, it was discovered that the track length was still too long for it to be included on the LP, & due to LP sequencing limitations, only a certain number of tracks could be placed on a single LP in 1977. Therefore, "Silver Springs" was issued as a single in 1976. "Silver Springs" first appeared on Cd as a previously unreleased track in the 4 Cd box set "Fleetwood Mac- 25 Years-The Chain.
