How many 18x18inch tiles will you need to cover 800 sq ft?

convert inches to feet- 1.5- then divide into 800- 533.333333333333~

round up, and you need AT LEAST 534 tiles..

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not think that the answer above is correct.

18" by 18" tiles measure 1.5 x 1.5 sq ft = 2.25 sq ft

Then 800 divided by 2.25 = 355.55...(the 5 is recurring) sq ft, so the sensible answer is 356 tiles, but a few more should be added to allow for breakages

If i have a room that 12'6in width and 10'4 in length and I am installing 5tile. How many tiles do I need?

You will need approx 130 sq ft of tiles. Divide the tile dimension into the total to figure out the quantity. Allow for breakage/spoilage. Tile squares come in many sizes.

A room measures 50 ft by 90 ft how many square yard of carpet are needed to provide wall to wall carpet in the room?

50 ft x 90 ft = 4500 square feet. One square yard (3 ft x 3 ft) = 9 square feet. Therefore, 4500 square feet = 500 square yards.

What do you do if you want to put flooring in a room that's in cm but the floorings in square feet?

You can either

#1, convert the centimeters to feet (1 centimeter = 0.032808399 feet)

#2, convert the feet to centimeters (1 foot = 30.48 centimeters)

Hope I helped!

How many 21x16 tiles would you need for 120sq ft?

21"x16"=336 sq inches

336 sq inches / 144 sq in per sq ft = 2.33 sq ft per tile

120 sq ft / 2.33 sq ft = 51 tiles

Add 15% for breakage and cuts = 60 tiles

How many tiles do you need to tile a 260 sq foot room?

This depends on the area of the tile. For example, if the tiles were exactly one square foot each, then you would need about 260 of them. I say "about" 260 because - although that would give you the correct footage - it does not account for needing to cut the tiles, fit them around pillars, doorways and such.

For a decent approximation, assuming the room is rectangular:

  • measure the length and width of the room
  • divide those numbers by the width of the tiles in use (assuming the tiles are square), rounding up.
  • multiply those numbers together.

If there are large areas of the room that won't be getting floored (eg. a pillar or stairwell), you can subtract their area (this time rounding down) from the count in order to cut back on the need for supplies purchased.

How much would 234 12 x 12 tiles cover?

A 12 x 12 tile is measured in inches, right? So, 12 inches is 1 foot, meaning each tile covers 1 square foot of space. With 234 tiles, you would cover 234 square feet of space.

What if your wall is 313cm long by 115cm high how many sq feet is that for tiles?

in the real world it's 123.24 inches By 45.28 inches

multipy those two then divid by 144 sq inches in a sq foot & you will get 38.75 more or less.
