Food Chains and Food Webs

A food web can more readily react to changes in the environment that impact one or more species. Also a food web is sometimes strengthened by the loss of one or more species if that species is overly aggressive, whereas a food chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and is always diminished or destroyed by the loss of any member. In short, a food web is more adaptive than a food chain and usually more diverse with more opportunity for cooperative advantage, improving chances of survival over a chain for the included species, especially species higher in the web (further from photosynthesis).

A plant because they are producers but the sun supplies the energy for photosynthesis.

They both say who eats what AND ALSO WHAT EATS WHO, the only difference is that a web shows many animals that eat certain other animals and a chain just says one animal that eats another that eats another, etc.

The food chain connects all the energy of animals to the greatest to the least and the food web still shows all the energy and they both contains nature,water,soil,air,weather,and plants

Giant squids are pretty much at the top of the food chain. They eat blue whales, they'll even eat sharks, that's if they attack the giant squid. They'll eat anything that bothers it, even humans.

The prey is part of the predator's environment, and the predator dies if it does not get food, so it evolves whatever is necessary in order to eat the prey: speed, stealth, camouflage (to hide while approaching the prey), a good sense of smell, sight, or hearing (to find the prey), immunity to the prey's poison, poison (to kill the prey) the right kind of mouth parts or digestive system, etc. Likewise, the predator is part of the prey's environment, and the prey dies if it is eaten by the predator, so it evolves whatever is necessary to avoid being eaten: speed, camouflage (to hide from the predator), a good sense of smell, sight, or hearing (to detect the predator), thorns, poison (to spray when approached or bitten), etc
