The coins are 7/8 troy ounce of 0.925% (sterling) silver meaning that each has about 0.8 troy ounces of silver - 9.7 ozt for the whole set of 12. I have been following them on eBay and recently (December 2009) they have been going for the spot price of silver and only $20 or so per set more. There are some sets listed at over $300 and some indivual coins listed at $40 but they do not seem to be getting any takers.

Update: In the Summer of 2011, with silver at about $5/ ozt spot price and the stock market craziness causing the price of metal to spike, these sets are sometimes going for $550-600 (or about 125% of spot).

So the reral answer to the questionis that they should go for at least the spot price x 9.7 ounces plus a premuim that will vary depending on demand.

Only dollars issued from 1878 to November 1921 are called Morgan dollars. The design that these coins carry was created by George T. Morgan.

It's similar to the Barber dimes, quarters, and halves. They don't have anything to do with haircuts; the designer was Charles Barber.

As with all Franklin Mint and other private mint "coins" they have little to no collector value and any value comes from the precious metals used to make the coins. To find out the value one must know the amount of precious metals in the coin (such as silver) then multiply that value in troy ounces by the silver price.

FIRST OPTION: Please see the link below titled "EXONUMIA.COM" for a person who is interested in buying ceramic plates. He requests you e-mail him for an exact price list but has the following to say about what he is willing to pay for non-silver Franklin Mint plates "Generally $2 each and up with box / documents; $1 without box". He has this to say about collectible plates in general: "The market for modern ceramic plates is VERY limited. Despite the so-called limited edition status of these plates, there basically are too many plates for too few collectors, resulting in a low price for most plates. I have SOLD large lots of mint-condition, in-the-box limited-edition ceramic plates in the $4 each range." SECOND OPTION: There are literally hundreds of collectible plates for sale on ebay, most in the $4-10 range, a few for more. See link below titled "EBAY-Franklin Mint Plates". It should be noted that the vast majority of these plates have received no bids.

To a collector you may get about $300. All dependent if the collection is complete (w/ book) and the condition of the coins and book. To a retail seller, maybe $150-200.

It weighs 8/10s of an ounce I believe. It was minted in 1997 so it doesn't surprise me that it can't be found on the website. I believe silver is around 33/ounce and the coin is made in sterling silver, so it is worth anywhere between 16-24 dollars.

A number of plates are being advertised in eBay between $28 to $40 in value at this moment. This plate was advertised by Franklin Mint in a Jan 1997 Woman Day mag for $39.50 plus $4.95 postage and handling. The money in 1997 is worth lot more than 2012. You can see buying from F.M. is not an investment.

Difference is the quality of the pieces... and possibly the tablespace of the game will be very high end quality wood or at least beter than the cheap stuff.

But if its the very high end set.. it can be worth $$.> i would pay $200-$500 for a perfect set tht has the drawers and the pieces are silver & gold.

It really depends on who the sword is made by, how old it is, and what kind of steel it is made from.

Stainless steel is often used in decorative swords, and these swords are usually quite cheap.

Carbon steel swords can be sharpened and can often withstand cutting. Carbon steel swords come at a price though, ranging usually from $100 and up. I'll attach a few links as examples.

I have an Excalibur sword by Franklin mint. It is a limited fired edition with crystal rock wall hanger and i paid several thousand dollars for it 15 years ago. So it is worth alot more now. I would be willing to part with it for the right price. Franklin Mint does not even make these swords anymore. paisleypilot@msn.com

I don't know why you paid several thousand dollars since the Franklin Mint and it's stores charged $750.00 which I still have the receipt. The sword is sold on Ebay from 350.00 to 500.00.

Like Njfunguy stated these swords didn't cost $2,000 dollars. They cost $750 and if you got the Wall display, then around $925 total. They are mighty pretty but not worth very much. In the sword "Blue Book" that gives prices for swords and how much they are worth depending on their condition, they aren't even listed because it's not a real "sword" so to speak. It's more like a decorative display. Looks great but not sharpened and wasn't make like other "real" swords.

I bought 2 of these when they were being sold by Franklin Mint in 1989. Around 1998 I took them to a company that did appraisals for items like this for insurance purposes and got the shock of my life when they both came back appraised around the $150-$200 dollar level. And these were in MINT condition that also came with the wall displays.

Of course you'll get what someone is willing to pay you but if you took it to someone who knew their real value you wouldn't get very much out of it.

As long as YOU like it then that's all that matters. Hang it on the wall and enjoy it. But don't think you'll get rich selling it. The VALUE just isn't there. Hope this helps.

It is worth atleast $570 (Approx dollars), if it is older, it could be worth more. Right now the game is not being sold at the Franklin Mint, but it returns seasonally. It is a very popular item and always sells well.

The ring was sold in Germany in 1991 for 3.750 DM

it depends on year and metal content silver ones are much scacer and sell above melt value non-silver tokens sell between 1 to 5 dollars each from 1965-1969 in uncirculated condition

Scrap metal dealers would give you $6,100-$6,800. It is 100 1,000 grain ingots; 208 troy oz. Silver is ~ $40/oz so thats $8,320 scrap metal, but its sterling silver at 92% silver. Also since they are ingots in a centennial collection set they are worth a more as a premium. Another thing is certificate of authenticity. So the Value would be end $8,000- $9,000. The Franklin Mint website has one for sale listed at $9,906 plus 50 shipping. As of 9/15/11

The value is based largely on the value of silver. Silver right now is about $28/ozt, 25ozt of .925 silver in the set, that's $647.50. Because it's in mint condition and moderately difficult to find you can add a bit more, but probably not much more than 25%, at the most, so between $650-$800.

Im not for certain, but accept no less than $300.00 If its in mint condition.

damaged, incomplete, and also mint conditioned bikes. and my number

was $450.00. I paid $385.00 for mine. Ive been a very rare collector for 15

years, and have waited years for some of my collectibles. As far as appraisel

prices, consumer prices, and collective prices. My info is vary knowledgible,

and accurate. I would price it at $400.00 I hope this helps you out.

I have one of these coins so I did some research myself. I have the Helen Keller sterling silver coin from 1971 btw. At any rate, I read somewhere that the round is 25.5 grams of sterling silver (which is 92.5% silver). 1 gram equals .035274 ounces. Multiply that by 25.5 and you get roughly .9 ounces of sterling silver. Multiply the .9 ounces by .925 and you get .832 ounces of pure silver. So my guess is each round of the set contains .832 ounces asw. I suppose they could have .9 ounces but the difference is miniscule. If I were to purchase another of these coins I would base the value of the coin on the .832 figure and if selling base it on the .9 ounce figure. Just kidding. Hope this helps. Take care.
