In the past (2/16/07) I saw one on Ebay selling for $350. It was only the start of the bidding, however. Since prices always change I cannot give you an exact estimate, sorry.

OMG if you have one you are one lucky sod you can sell that or buy that for over ten grand on certain sites

its worth about $150 including shipping, that would be for one in good shape, but not any more than $200 all in if it was in mint condition not a mark on it including display stand and booklet with certificate of authenticinty

Hello, I found an auction house that sold the complete set of badge's for somewhere between $500.00 and $750.00. Could not find anything else anywhere about these. Have you tried to contact Franklin Mint? Maybe they could tell you. Hap in New York

The gentleman in the painting was my great uncle, retired Rear Admiral Andrew Mack, a neighbor of Mr Rockwells who posed for a few of his paintings. It was painted in his home office with I believe an employee of the Franklin mint.We think the original is undoubtely still at the mint.

Typically the value of Franklin Mint items is its the melt value. This is the value of the silver if the item was melted down for its scrap value. Keep in mind that Franklin Mint uses Sterling Silver. It is only 92.5% silver. Pure silver is 99.9% silver. So the melt value is adjusted accordingly. A good rule of thumb is to expect to get about 80% of the price of pure silver. That said, like with any collectible, it is worth what someone else is willing to pay. If you happen to find someone who whats it and values it for more than the melt value, then count yourself lucky. And sell it to them. R.H.

The two volumes sets of the Franklin Mint Solid Sterling Silver Patriots Hall of Fame contains 20 - 39mm diameter medals, each coin containing approx. 500 Grains or 32.4 Grams of sterling silver; each is approx. 3.5mm thick. (Approx. same size of a Silver Eagle but a little thicker).Today's melt value (Min. value) is approx. $1.00 per gram, making each coin valued at approx. $32.40 x 20 = $648.00. Hope that helps.

I would need more information on the particular coin you have to give you an exact price, but these are highly collectible coins. The Franklin Mint States of the Union Series (mostly .925 Sterling, and some Bronze), The Franklin Mint States of the Union Series "Governors' Edition" (24K on .925 Sterling or .925 Sterling), and The Franklin Mint States of the Union "Treasures Edition" (24K on .925 Sterling) are all very respectable, rare coin sets. These coins were all issued by The Franklin Mint from 1969 until 1972. The Franklin Mint also made a mini "Platinum Edition" States of the Union Series in 1969. The 24K on Sterling "Governors' Edition" were minted from 1970-1972. And, the Bronze "Governors' Edition" series were minted in 1970-1971. These sets all fall into the category of commemorative coins. The vast majority of commemorative coins, even if Sterling Silver or 24K clad Sterling, are worth little more than the value of the metal they're made of. This is because they're not minted by the Federal Reserve, and are generally produced in very vast quantities. However, these three Franklin Mint sets were all very limited in quantity, and are now quite rare. The value varies on the series, the metal, and the year. The main factor in the value of these coins is the number of coins minted in each particular year/series/metal. I won't estimate a value on the Bronze or mini Platinum series, but the Bronze coins are the most common and the mini Platinum coins are among the rarest. Falling close behind the Platinum series, in terms of rarity, are the 24K gold clad Treasures Edition coins. Both the mini Platinum and the 24K gold clad Treasures series are extremely valuable.

The standard Sterling Silver States of the Union Series and the Sterling Silver "Governors' Edition" range in value from $25-$30 each to well over $100 each. Some coins from the standard set exceed the "Governors' Edition" in value, again depending on series and mintage. Well, not much. Unless it is silver, it may look "pretty" but it is worth $0.00 in a Target store, only certain collectors will buy that.

I'd say not much. They may look pretty but wouldn't be much "chop" ( sorry for the pun). Franklin Mint aren't swordsmiths so I'd look elsewhere if I were looking for a decent sword that also looked good. (oh, and there's no such thing as a "ninja sword")
