Yes most gerbils love them but they should only be given as treats so maximum of 2-3 each a few times a week otherwise it can cause them to become overweight.

grebils will live anywhere from 1 to 4 years. some (like mine) may reach 5 or even 6 years of age. given that a normal human living in good conditions can live to 80 a single human year is equal to 16 gerbil years

Just wait. It will grow back! Although the new tail may look different.... Make sure that you feed the gecko lots of fatty foods, as the stored fat in the tail has fallen off. Isolate the gecko to prevent other geckos from feeding from the wound (if any others are with it). Isolation also helps prevent bullying. If you see scratches on one of your gecko's legs, it may be bullied. Never hold your gecko by the tail, as this will cause it to fall off. Geckos drop their tails so that the creature that has caught them will get confused and the gecko can make a quick escape. I hope this helps!

Gerbils can eat grasses, but grass from a backyard may have pesticides that could harm or even kill your gerbils if ingested. It might be safer to grow a special bit of grass in a pot inside to ensure no pollution gets to the plants before it is ingested by your gerbils.

Gerbil bites, like any other kind of wound, can get infected. Take all the precautions you would for any other kind of animal bite--clean the wound thoroughly and use an antibiotic ointment, like Neosporin, to help prevent infection.

They will eat fresh vegetables and fruits, the best would be broccoli, celery, lettuce, apples, and for occasional snacks, carrots.

Gerbils usually sleep at night and are awake at day, like humans.

But some gerbils play at night, the person who answered before me and also my friend have the problem of their gerbils playing on their wheels at night but my friend now takes the wheel out of the cage just before they go to sleep and back in when they get up, so you can do that if you have a problem with it.

A female gerbil paired with a male can have pups at six weeks of age, so at 10 weeks she can give birth. The pair will mate right after birth and she will be pregnant while raising her litter. Nearly all of the pet gerbils in the United States originated from the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. If you purchase a gerbil from a pet store then it likely came from a farm where small animals are mass produced for pet store purchases. They may also come from local research labs or from homes where the owner could not care for them. The employees generally don't know where or how the animal came to be there.

If you purchase a gerbil from a local breeder then you will know when the gerbil was born and have some assurance that it comes from a humane and understanding environment. A good breeder will have no problems telling you where they got their gerbils and will outbreed as much as possible. Outbreeding is the opposite of inbreeding and ensures the health and longevity of the litters that are born.

A baby gerbil, or gerbil pup, relies on its mother's milk until they are four weeks of age. If your gerbil still needs its mother's milk, but cannot get it, feed it kitten replacement milk through an eyedropper three times daily.

If the gerbil pup is weaned, then a good starter food is Cheerios. These are the perfect size for tiny gerbil hands and are healthy for them, too! However, a gerbil pup should start eating the same food its parents do as it is weaned.

As a general rule, male dogs are more likely to mark territory. However, a female dog will also display territory-marking behaviour if she is of a dominant nature or breed, and secure in her position as head of her "pack", whether that be her family or group of other pet dogs.

That's a bad thing to do, the gerbil could die. In the wild they wouldn't find much water so their body's can't cope with large amounts. Also gerbils aren't used to large amounts of water on their fur, if they can't get dry or warm again then they'd die.

The scientific name for the most common type of gerbil, the Mongolian, is Meriones Unguiculatus. In Latin it translates to "clawed warrior."

It's hard not to know when they're hungry and they should always have fresh water available. When guineas are hungry they let forth a barrage of screams and noises that sound like "Whoops" and "Wheeks". Hope I helped!

The arm has to be adjusted,by a doctor because the bones have to be properly aligned .Someone medically trained can adjust however there are risks,like splintering and damage to tissue and this should be left to professionals

You can give your gerbils SMALL amounts of Apples, Carrots, Spinich, Peas, Almonds, Sunflower Seeds and VERY SMALL amounts of Peanut Butter and Honey, maybe once or twice a week. You can also give them the occasional piece of poped corn, ( how to do that is you put a few pieces of unpoped, unsalted or flavored pop corn and never put oil on it, and then just put the pieces in a brown paper bag and put it in the microwave until it pops. I have not tried this yet, but of what I have read, it works. ) And grapes. Maybe cut a grape in half and give the gerbil half a grape maybe twice a month or so.

I know my gerbils like just pain apple sauce.It is hard to find something that all six of my gerbils will eat, but they all will eat apple sauce! A good treat mix for them is to cut a slice of apple into little chunks and put it in a bowl and mix it with a little bit of peanut butter and a few drops of honey. It sounds gross, but my gerbils sure like it! They also like non-instant oatmeal, just plain old fashioned oatmeal. I give my gerbils each about two grains of it ( the grains are pretty big for a gerbil! ) every now and then.

Oh, you should NEVER feed your gerbils citrus fruits, lettuce ( it can cause wet tail if too much is eaten ), I think potatoes, i don't think they're good for gerbils, and NEVER feed them salted or oiled pop corn, chips, cheesepuffs, tortillas, etc. none of that is good for them. You should never give them lots of any treat stuff, give it to them as treats, not full meals. :)

I don't know about STRAIGHT from the field but mine eat timothy hay ALL the time. They like regular hay. I do not think that it is poisonus to them. So yes. They can eat dried and baled hay.

It will sometimes grow back. But if your not sure what happened or you don't know what to do go to a vet and get it checked out.

gerbils look like mice although they are desert rats they come from the dersert and have smallish eyes and they come in sany colour black and white. They have long thin tails.

Use a spray bottle and fill it with water. Everytime the rabbit chews on something it isn't supposed to, spray it with water until it stops chewing. Give it plenty of chew toys that are suitable for chewing

i bought mine at petsmart they sell vet assured gerbils there and they live the longest if you buy them there,but if you do get one get two they love to cuddle but only get them from the same family. I would advise a breeder. They are much healthier and friendlier.
