What is the highest legal loft a club can have in the PGA?

The question is kind of irrelevant, since the introduction of the v grooves rule, players on tour will only use up to a 60 degree club because there is no consistency off the club face with v grooves. The rules do not state any limit.

I was playing golf yesterday and hooked my tee shot left it crossed the out of bounds stake for that hole but it crossed the road and came back inbounds on another hole Is it ok to play the ball?

You need to know where the out of bounds stake is defining as out of bounds. If this hole is left of the OB then yes, it is out of bounds. If it came back to the right, it sounds like it was inbounds.

Can an amateur golfer where clothing with a sponsored logo on if they are NOT paid for wearing it?

I am 99% sure that you can. From what I know, you can teach lessons without receiving payment and stay an amateur and take prize winnings less than $500. As long as you are not receiving money for the advertisement I would say there is no problem. I have always worn a sponsored logo polo like Nike or Ping whenever I play and have never had a problem. Plus, why would a public golf course carry sponsored logo shirts if only pros can wear them? I say wear that clothing.

Can a golf ball be declared lost or unplayable anywhere on a golf course?

If the person who played the ball think he/she cannot play the ball where it lies then yes the person may take a one stroke penalty and move the ball.

What are the duty of vice captain in golf club?

What rule governs teeing after lost ball?

Rules state that a lost ball costs you stroke and distance. In other words you add one to your score and go back to where you played the shot originally. If you hit a poor shot and think you may have lost your ball, most golfers will hit what is called a provisional. This means your provisional shot is in play if you can't find the first one you hit. This saves time and removes the necessity of returning to where you hit your shot originally. If you find your original shot you disregard the provisional ball. One addendum, on public courses in casual play, if no provisional ball was hit, most golfers will drop a ball near the spot they lost their ball, add a stroke and play on. Going back to the original spot and replaying your shot is time consuming and not really practical on a crowded golf course.

What happens if you play a round of golf off the wrong handicap and submit your card to the handicapper?

You will be disqualified for handing in a card with the wrong handicap. That is what the rules dictate should happen, if you are given a card with the wrong handicap on it, you should change it.

Is -15 or good or bad good or bad golf hanicap?

I will assume that you mean a 15 handicap. It depends how long you have been playing for and how old you are. It isn't good enough to turn pro, but it is decent enough in my opinion. It doesn't matter what your handicap is as long as you enjoy the game.

Can you ask a golfer not to mark his ball on the putting green?

Not exactly. If his mark would be in your path, he can use any measuring device, (standardly his club length) to make the mark out of your line, and replace it to where it should be before he puts. He has the right to pick up his ball. AlthoughI guess you can always ask!

You can, but it's exceedingly difficult if you make the wrong choice; it's hard enough of you pick right.

What are the limitations to teeing a golf ball?

You have to use a tee which has been approved for play by the R&A and USGA. So you couldn't tee it up on a beer can. If you use a tee approved for play you can do it up as high or as low as you want.

In golf - How does retrogression work to determine the winner of a match when two or more persons have the lowest score?

You work backwards starting from the last hole to see which person/team played better up to the last hole that was not tied. If holes 18 & 17 were tied you would continue to the score on hole 16. The team with the HIGHEST score on 16 would win by retrogresssion. This is because that team had played better for 15 holes. Because they scored higher on hole #16, their score up to that hole was lower. A lot of people think the lower score wins but that is not correct because they would have had a higher score up to that point in order to finish with a tie. What two organizations approve the rules of golf?

What two organization's approve the rules of golf?
While there are over 150 golf organizations in Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas, there are two primary organizations are responsible for the rules of golf as played by most of the world. The R&A and the United States Golf Association (USGA).

R&A

The R&A is located in the Home of Golf, St Andrews, Scotland. The R&A was formed in 2004 with the goal of engaging and supporting activities that are undertaken for the benefit of the game of golf. Previous to 2004, the rules were administered by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, which is where the R&A got its name.

The R&A is responsible for administering the oldest Major championship in golf, the Open Championship, also referred to as the British Open. In addition, the R&A assumes responsibility of the Rules of Golf with 152 amateur and professional organizations which encompass 30 million golfers in 138 countries.

In addition to administering the Rules of Golf, the R&A incorporates an Equipment Standards division. This team, comprised of scientists, tests and approves/disapproves all new golf club and golf ball technology and ensures that the technology conforms to the Rules of Golf.

Finally, the R&A provides guidance for golf courses and their management in an attempt to help grow the game of golf in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way.

The R&A works hand-in-hand with the United States Golf Association, and has jointly issued the Rules of Golf with the USGA since 1952.

United States Golf Association - USGA

The USGA began in 1894 as the Amateur Golf Association of the United States. The organization was formed administer the Rules of Golf for the United States, and to setting the question of the national amateur championship, which was claimed by two clubs at the same time. Shortly later the organizations name was changed to the United States Golf Association.

The USGA, like the R&A, administers a major championship, the United States Open. The U.S. Open is one of 13 national championships for men, women, and seniors, which the USGA administers. Some other notable USGA championships include the U.S. Womens Open, the Senior Open, U.S. Amateur.

Similarly to the R&A, the USGA tests golf equipment for conformity to the Rules of Golf.
The USGA supports programs for underprivileged youth and individuals with disabilities by providing millions in grants to programs like the First Tee.

Most of golfs most famous champions have won a USGA championship, from Tiger Woods to Jack Nicklaus to Bobby Jones.

Putting and hitting the pin and penalty?

If you are on the green, and you are putting, if the pin is in the hole and you strike it with the ball, you receive a two shot penalty in stroke play or loss of hole in matchplay. You must also play the ball as it lies, so if the ball is holed, it is counted as holed (don't forget the penalty)

If the pin is set at the side of the green and you hit it, the penalty is still the same.

Can lift golf ball when lie edge of fairway?

The only legal way of lifting the ball when it lies on the edge of the fairway is when the rules committee of a tournament is playing lift-clean- and place. This would be stated before the tournament began. This accounts for unsavory conditions such as rain. The player is allowed to place a tee where the ball was, clean the ball, and place it back in fairway.

How far behind the tee markers can you tee your ball My partner teed off about 5 feet behind the tee markers Was that legal?

The teeing ground is the area that the BALL is to be teed and is defined as the space even with and between the tee markers, to a distance of two club lengths behind the markers; your feet can be outside of this 'box'.

I've never seen in the rules as to exactly where the 'front' of the box is, but 'courtesy' would suggest it's to the center of the tee marker [as opposed to the leading-edge of the marker]. I've also never seen which club shall be used to measure the two club lengths behind the markers...courtesy again would suggest, whatever club you are intending to tee off with! And finally, having worked on a course, and been trained by one of the best superintendents in the industry, tee markers should be placed six paces apart (that's six steps, not twelve steps!); therefore, about 14-16 feet apart...not the entire width of the tee box like you see on most 'cheap' courses! Someone who knows how to set-up the course, understands the value of this seemingly 'narrow' distance between the markers, and how much control they can have over the golfers!
