i just checked this site for getting knowlege about and answers about the questions in my mind.

It all depends on how bad your attendance was. I think the best thing to do is to go to a community college and do your best. Most nursing schools require 2.5 GPA or higher. So do your best in college. I'm sure it wont be a problem to get into a good nursing school. Its a very very good career choice. My cousin has been an RN for only 3 years. She makes $8,000 a month.

the grade would be nothing because you have freind and I really do not know ask a smart guy at your school or your teacher. But I really do not know I think I have told you this already but who care if I don't know there are a lot of people who do know So please ask someone who dose know. Like a neard at your school. That last statement was a test. LOL. 2.62 is between and B- and C+ (depending how you round it off) a good rule of thumb is to break the last 4 letter grades into 10 point blocks(A=90's, B= 80's, C=70's, D=60's) and changing this to fit what your school gives as official grades. If its a number grade with 60 being dead failing and 100 meaning you should be teaching the class then let a 4.0=95+ 3.0 =80 2.0 = 70 1.0=60 & 0.0= short bus(2.62 would be ~76) its not as accurate as the final grade but will get you in the ballpark. This is the fastest way to convert as a 2.0(70) is required to get degree's after high school.

GPA's change in value depending on where you live. In the U.S., 2.0 is a C but depending on the college or prep school, it is not necessarily passing. 2.5 is usually a more realistic expectation.

Actually that grade sucks. You have to do better than a a C IF YOU WANT TO GET INTO COLLEGE. aT LEAST A 3 AND ABOVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE. CHECK OUT UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE THAT IS WHERE I WANT TO GO. IT IS A GREAT SCHOOL!

It is surprising how a year or two of As can improve matters. I don't know the exact math. But, depending on what you need to take in order to both graduate and meet college entrance requirements, it may not be easy. Turning in all work, making sure you understand everything as you go along (ie. get a math tutor) and regular attendance (being there, not just warming the seat!) can make it easier. For most of us, we are better in one thing than in another and it just means that the rest of the stuff needs concentrated work. Don't be shy about asking for help from friends or going to afterschool tutorials to make sure you make the grades.

If your school uses a standard 4.0 scale, your GPA would be 3.86. To calculate your GPA, you have to know that an A is 4 points, a B is 3, a C is 2, a D is 1, and an F is 0. You then have to add up all of your points and divide by the number of classes to get your GPA.

Keep in mind that GPAs are usually cumulative, so next semester or next year you'll need to add all of your classes from previous semesters and years for a cumulative GPA.

7.0 if your in IB (international Baccalaureate) allows you to get a 7.0 because all your core classes will be IB plus taking as many AP classes as possible my IB administrator told me 7.0 is the highest possible GPA

IB is the highest high school diploma you can get in the world its valid through t the world meaning u can go anywhere in the world and they will accept your diploma and also you can get into any college or university with ease with an IB diploma

It depends based on the particular school, but generally:

4.0 = A's

3.5 = 50/50 A's and B's

3.0 = B's

2.5 = 50/50 B's and C's

2.0 = C's

1.5 = 50/50 C's and D's

1.0 = D's

0.5 = 50/50 D's and F's

0.0 = F's

Some schools have a scale up to 5.0, but that's less common.

If you have a 3.8 GPA, that's great. I would say you get mostly A's, with an occasional B now and then. Good Job!!

gpa is only one determining factor in your admission to any school, including harvard. your SAT scores, extracurriculars, and recommendations are also extremely important. at top ivy league schools like harvard, yale, and princeton, most admitted students had high school gpa's between 3.8 and 4.0, and maybe a few were slightly below. the lowest I've ever heard of was around 3.6. most students, however, have 4.0 or very close to it.

it depends on whether you are in high school, middle school, or elementry school. Middle school and elementry don't count plusses or minuses but high school does. and i dunno about the pass fail calss thingy. we dont do that around here.

All legitimate four year colleges and universities require no lower than a 2.0 for general admissions. However, community colleges are open admissions with most requiring a high school diploma or GED.

In most all colleges and universities today, the GPA is automatically calculated through computer services. Thus, it is not likely that it is incorrect. However, if you feel it is incorrect you should bring this to the attention of the Office of the Registrar at the school. They can make the necessary changes and correct the system if there is indeed a glitch in the system.

Most community colleges will admit anyone who can afford to attend and pass the entry exam, even if you do not pass the entry exam, it's likely the school will still have classes for you to attend in order to improve on the subjects you scored poorly in.

A 3.45 in biochemistry at Cooper Union may mean a lot more than a 3.6 in political science at a random community college.

It depends on the institutions grading system. For institutions that grade on a plus system, it would be a letter grade of B+. For those that use a minus system, it would be an A-. In any event it is a very good GPA.

In a straight scale this is a 60% and is a D-. one point lower ... it would be an E. If the instructor uses a curve or sliding scale it would depend on how well the other students did in comparison. I personally detest curves and sliding scales. They are an indication that the instructor has not been able to 1. motivate the students. 2 properly teach the subject matter or 3 doesn't know how to design a well written test.
