Some say you should lie still like a rock, because sharks may pay more attention to moving things than non-moving things.

Others say that there was a wildlife documentary about a guy who was underwater surrounded by great white sharks without protection. He attracted them by curling himself into a ball, and then he scared them off when they got close by quickly opening himself up.

They tend to be solitary Hunters but it has been known for more than one to attack the same prey. A famous account was a young surfer that was attacked by 2 Great Whites at the same time, whether this was pure coincidence or they acted together is hard to know. The surfer survived. There was also another more recent attack in which a diver was killed on 22 of Feb 2011. There is a show on how Great White Sharks may work together in New Zealand to drive Pilot whales ashore while taking bites out of them.

It is impossible tofr a Great White to eat a sperm whale. Sperm Whale is just too big and too powerful for any shark. An adult Sperm whales is upto 67 feet long and weighs upto 57 tons. Grate white is not even a third of the size. No animal goes against someone three times its size. Also, sperm whale is one hell of a smart animal. It can dive at the depths that would crush a shark to death.

Sharks probably eat whales of all kind but only after the whales are dead.

There are large dolphins and small sharks. The largest of the dolphins is the Orca. It can reach lengths of 23 feet and weigh up to 4 tons. Great White sharks usually come to mind when you think of big sharks. They have been found up to 20 feet long at weights of up to 2 1/2 tons. The largest shark alive is the plankton-eating Whale Shark. It will get up to 46 feet long and weigh up to 15 tons. A large Bottlenose Dolphin (made famous by Flipper) will be up to 8 feet long and weigh up to 660 pounds.

Adult Great Whites are apex predators. Apart from the Orca (Killer Whale), there are no known predators that may attack or kill a Great White. In regions where both the Orca and the Great whites inhabit and compete for food, Orcas may attack and kill these sharks. Since Orca's are much larger than them, they can attack and even kill great whites.

Great Whites can travel anywhere throughout the entirety of Earth's oceans. Yet, they are cold water sharks and very rarely venture into the warm tropic waters of Belize. There is also a problem of food for any Great White that may want to take up residency in Belize. Great Whites focus on seals and sealions as their source of nourishment. Since there are no pinnipeds anywhere near the Caribbean, there is no need to worry or suspect any Great White sharks within 1000 miles of Belize.
