On the other hand, they tend not to be found in tropical waters (at least in the Summer) due to the higher water temperatures.

If you're thirsty, it means your body has already lost more water than it should have, and it's urging you to fill up the tank. Water not only hydrates your body, but helps keep your hair silky and shiny. As crocodiles are normally found no where near the oceans, I would have to say that the crocodiles and sharks ever coming close to each other is slim to none. Thus my answer is its a moot question as the chances of these two animals even seeing each other is rare.
To stretch this out a bit, a great white shark at twenty feet long, and weighing upwards of two thousand pounds, is a greater match for a crocodile in those two terms alone.

What sharks been found in the northeast river?
I'd say there's a http:/skool.com of sharks in the James river. don't go swimming in the water!
There are no sharks in the James River. It's perfectly safe to go swimming in.
While the previous entry states there are no sharks in the James River, and while I have never personally seen any sharks in the James River, I have found evidence of sharks in the Appomattox and James Rivers. I grew up in City Point, of Hopewell Va. It is a peninsula made by the convergence of the James and Appomattox Rivers. As a boy, I fished on the Appomattox River bank quite often. I would find shark teeth on the river bank, it was quite common to find shark teeth. So, if there are no sharks in the Appomattox and James Rivers, then how did the teeth get there? We were told as youth they were dog shark teeth. The teeth were definitely shark teeth and were about 1inch long. Supposedly the dog shark is the most common shark around. Here is a link regarding such a shark.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS IS THE CASE:
I live in Prince George VA and commonly FOSSIL hunt on the James. These sharks teeth you have found are simply FOSSIL teeth. Modern living sharks have white teeth. Some teeth fossilize white due to the minerals which seep into the original during the fossilization process. This entire area was a sea from the Eocene era to the end of the Miocene. Mega-toothed sharks such as Carcharodon megalodon (Megalodon, the largest to ever live, with up to 7" teeth), Giant makos, and extinct forms of Great White, Tiger, and Mackerel shark teeth are just a few species that can be found in this area. Also saltwater crocodile teeth and dermal scutes, sea turtle shell fragments, whale bone, as well as many invertebrate species that colonize coral reefs can be found. The thing is, they are all FOSSILS. Sorry to shoot down the idea of sharks in the James (I wish!!!).
Another note: Bull sharks can survive and breed in fresh water, however the temperatures at this latitude are not temperate enough for them, even in ocean waters.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually Bull sharks roam the shallows off of Nags head and Virginia beach and has claimed victims from both. Please feel free to use google. Secondly ive been catfishing all my life including in the james river, most recently, mainly once about 5 years ago I saw a 60 pound blue catfish with incredible girth a formidable predator that the james river is known for, with a very large set of bite marks that were too clean to be anything but sharp teeth, and too wide to be anything in fresh water, no pike or gar, still have the picture as proof. None have been seen but does not mean they are not there, since i seen that fish i havent been in the water even while handling fish, used to swim as a kid.
further note: Not to mention a large 9 foot bull shark was caught 311 miles up the mississippi river. the epicenter of the james river is only 150 miles from the ocean.
