What does it mean when guinea pigs jump around in their cage?
He is probably perfectly fine. Guinea pigs have unique ways of showing their delight. One of these include "popcorning", a series of small jumps the guinea pig does when he's happy. However, you should check around the cage and take a look at the daily routine to make absolutely sure nothing is out of the ordinary. If you feel this is a problem, feel free to contact a vet and get their opinion.
What does a lump mean on a guinea pig if its under there fur and dosent go away?
I would say it is a rare thing called a cyst in which there is a liquid lump or bubble somewhere which gets bigger the more the animal eats or drinks. This happened to one of my hamsters. We put in a needle and tried to suck some out but it didn't help. If this is the case, take your guinea pig to a vet right away. The cyst should fell warm with liquid inside. Also, this could be a birth defect. When you got your guinea pig, I need to know, was the bump there, or did it appear later? If it was always there, it is probably a birth defect, like I mentioned earlier. But if the bump appeared later and looks like it is on the spine, his back may be injured. This could happen from a fall from an elevated object like a table or a chair. Also, your guinea pig's spine could be bent from spinning on a wheel. Wheels are not good for guinea pigs because they hurt and put strain on the backs of guinea pigs. This is coming from an 11 year old, but I know a lot about guinea pigs and hamsters.

Do guinea pigs shed in the spring time?
If you are talking about an outdoor storage building then ABSOLUELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guinea pigs need to be in cages indoors. If you can absolutely not keep your pig indoors, get a pen but keep it in the shade. If you have room in your house, try your best to keep the piggie indoors.
How can you tell if your guinea pig has a vitamin c diffenacy?
It depends on the type of vitamin deficiency. If it's a vitamin C deficiency, then the
guinea pig may develop a disease called scurvy. The symptoms include loose teeth,
loss of appetite, and swollen joints. Scurvy and other diseases caused by a type of
vitamin deficiency can be severe to guinea pigs, so they should see a vet for
treatment.
Do guinea pigs make noises when she is giving birth?
no
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't: it depends on the rabbit's personality, and the situation.
If a rabbit is in extreme, sudden pain (like it was just caught by a predator), then it will probably scream. This sounds rather like a human scream.
If a rabbit is ongoing pain (like it's sick, or has an injury), then it might grind its teeth. This is not the same as the kind of tooth-grinding that sounds like a purr and means the rabbit is happy: it's louder and crunchier.
If a rabbit has a urinary infection or a bladder stone, it might cry out while urinating. This isn't as loud or scary as a scream, but any vocalisations the rabbit makes while urinating is a sign of pain.
See the related question below for more information about how to tell if a rabbit is sick.

What do guinea pig look like when there pregnant?
A few signs that she is pregnant are: 1) A few minutes after mating a kind of a waxy 'copulation plug' forms to prevent the sperm escaping. The plug is often expelled a few days after mating - you may find this in the bedding if you have attempted to breed with 2 of your pigs - a sure sign that mating has taken place - however sometimes this just dissolves so you wouldn't find it anyway. 2) weight gain. 3) she may start to drink more water. 4) you may be able to feel movement of the babies in later stages, mainly by Day 42 (and some people can even feel the babie's heartbeats!) What to expect? Well, she will go into labor in approximately 2 and a half months. This usually occurs overnight or when you are not around, and you'll wake up one morning and find your guinea pig surrounded by 1-6 guinea pig babies.
What does a purring noise mean in a guinea pig language?
This means a guinea pig is experiencing pleasure, enjoyment, or excitement. You will hear this noise when you pet your guinea pig or feeding it a treat. If you hear this noise suddenly when you are not petting your guinea pig it is afraid or it feels threatened. They purr if they hear a loud noise: a telephone ring or a knock on the door.
What does a guinea pig and a hamster eat?
Really Guinea pigs are NOTHING like real pigs. Guinea pigs do do some things that pigs do such as graze on food all day and can make some noises that people might think pig like! but guinea pigs are herbivores so they dont eat meat unlike pigs who will eat nearly anything!!

Is your guinea pig going to have babies?
The only species that can have babys as males are the seahorses. there are exceptions to the rule...certin amphibians can change their gender, when their population is at risk of becoming extinct, due to a lack of members of the opposite sex. boy guinea pigs can not do either of these things, so in this case "boys WILL be boys"
A pig's diet on a farm is specially calculated.
To give a basic guide, a non-lactating ('dry') sow (female pig) is given food containing:
-meat meal (crushed meat/bones from an abbotoir)
-wheat
-oil (not only is the oil good, but it keeps the feed from being too dusty)
-barley/other grains that may be available locally
-mould prevention powder (to stop the feed from having mould in it)
Another critically important factor is how MUCH food a pig is given:
-dry sows are given two large scoops of food daily, to improve the condition and weight of the animal (like if it has just finished lactating and is a bit skinny)
-pregnant sows are given the same amount, up until a few weeks before they farrow (give birth), to help them in their pregnancy
-they then get about half the amount, because if they have a lot of fat around their mammaries (teats), the fat won't let any milk out when piglets suckle, meaning that the piglets will starve and not receive any colostrums (antibodies) and the sow may be in pain
-the three days before the predicted farrowing date (according to when the pig was mated; 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days later) the feed is cut down by a quarter, and the day of farrowing the sow is not fed
-after farrowing, the sows receive twice as much feed to assist with lactation
What is the difference between baby rabbits and baby guinea pigs when they are born?

Baby Guinea Pigs can stand on its own feet just after a minute unlike rabbits. Also, baby Guinea Pigs can eat some foods that adult Guinea pigs eat. But,rabbit babies are fully depended on their mother for food.
Do you need to walk micro pigs?
No.
Buying the leash and harness was a PURE waste of money. Not only was it difficult to put on the pig, made it get stressed, and was hard to adjust- GUINEA PIGS ARE PREY ANIMALS. They will run at the slightest loud noise, strange environment, and can can get injured if they pull on the harness. I was stupid when i thought "Hey, maybe g-pigs are like dogs and can go on walks too!" WRONG.
It can be the worst mistake of your life giving your g-pig a walk. It can end with poisoning your pig, killing your pig, or losing your pig. It's just not worth the risk.
If you want to give your pig fresh air and grass to nibble on- build a pen, place your pig in it, and watch it so nothing gets to it. Walking a pig to look "cute" is not even a good enough reason.
How can you double your guinea pigs life?

How do you know if a baby guinea pig is a girl or boy?
When a guinea pig is first born it's very difficult to distinguish gender, as majorphysical differences don't appear until a few weeks later. Taking he guinea pig to the vet for examination that early on would be your best bet.
