In my opinion, there's no contest, Eric is an unbelievable technical guitarist and has a lot more range than Slash. That's what you have to listen for, most people judge on speed not technique and that gets boring very quickly.

Noel is a fairly good player, but the most important thing here is his exceptional songwriting skills. It's all about tunes, tunes, tunes. And Noel's guitarplaying is right fit for that. He might not have a superb technique, but listen to his solo on 'Don't look back in anger', it might not be hard to learn and play, but try writing it. It's probably the best arranged pop solo in history, ending with that perfect drum break and sucking you in to it's glorious chorus.

Come on. Who needs 'van halen' technique if you can move people like that?

There is no way for a computer to write down the lyrics to a song that is playing. If you wanted to get the lyrics, you could search online for the song name and find the lyrics for the song you are looking for there. Though, if you don't know the song name, you could always look up a verse that you remember and then find the rest of the song that way.

Last time I saw her, we were working aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship together around 1993... I was the Shipboard Systems Analyst, and she was an amazing talent. Wish I knew what she's doing these days.
